I like the sunglasses idea, although I think it would have to be at the beginning of the show so the band could see us/notice.

Well, that could work, not to mention it wouldn't be that great for us to watch the show through sunglasses once it gets dark, haha.

From Ants:

Alright the flyer is finished! It is very simple and black and white so it is easier and cheaper to copy. As Jared said print it out, make copies, spread the info by word of mouth but please get the message out there. This band has been there for all of us i think it is time we show them we are here for them. thanks for letting me help!

The flyer (doc file):
http://www.sendspace.com/file/1yg9fe

In a nutshell, the plan is to sing Three Little Birds during the encore break N3.

Haha, yeah that's true. We could wear sunglasses through the first song or something.

Just a reminder. If you get in the venue early enough, be sure to check out the Marcus Eaton Trio on the sidestage. They will be playing all three nights, before the opener starts on the main stage. Again, nothing solid, but since Marcus has been opening for Tim Reynolds frequently over the last 3 years, I wouldn't be surprised if Tim dropped by for a couple tunes.

I am pumped to spend my first weekend at the Gorge. I have seen the boys 5 nights at red rocks but never at the Gorge. How the camping situation? I live in Seattle but plan on camping at least Saturday night.

It will be girlfriend's first time seeing the band. I took her to Radiohead for her first time last week. She couldnt believe how great they sounded live. I told her she is in for a treat to see DMB at the Gorge!

Does anyone have any information on the place to go white water rafting about an hour from the Gorge? I remember people talking about this in years past and I was thinking of checking it out this year.

It's probably up near Wenatchee. My brother and his girlfriend recently did a trip near Leavenworth (which is near Wenatchee). If you do a Google search for "white water rafting Wenatchee" there are several companies listed. Sorry, I haven't personally done it though.

your one hope may be to try and package them with some nice reserved seats..aside from that you'll probably only be able to pull about half face unless you're lucky. best to ya though.

I won't be there, but I'm hoping this returns for you guys this weekend:

My trips out there in 02, 03, and 04 were just amazing. I really, really need to go back! Alpine was incredible this year, but the Gorge still holds my heart.

In 2005 I was able to sell the extra lawns the WH gave me in the parking lot, but I think I only got like $50-60 for the pair.

Just don't sell them to the guy going to every car as they park them. He's from Portland and is a professional scalper. I nearly get in a fight with him everytime I see him. I think I finally shamed him into to cutting off his mulllet at least.

Most likely. His 'crew' consists of another, fatter, white dude and a mexican(?) lady. They literally follow the line of cars as the flaggers park them in the lot. They hit every car looking for extras. Gotta admire the dedication to their craft, but I still hate them.

they annoy me at every show i go to, but it's particularly bad at the gorge where i can't help but wonder how the hell they get the funding to get out into the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it would be cool to sneak a video camera in and maybe film one of my favorite songs since I will be dead center row 7 but I'd hate to have security catch me. Does anyone know, will security warn you to just turn off your video camera as soon as they see you taking videos or do they take your camera away right away since the tickets says right on there No Video Cameras allowed.

I'm so pumped for my first visit to the Gorge, we ended up spending the whole day in Seattle trying to get as much stuff in as possible, most likely will be finishing the rest on Monday, and leaving Tuesday.
