Venue Information:
Montage Mountain Amphitheater started as a temporary facility located behind the ski lodge on Montage Mountain. In 1999, Lackawanna County built a permanent amphitheater further down the mountain. The new location has reserved seating for 7,000 people covered by the pavilion roof, with room for another 10,500 on the lawn. In 2002 the operation of the facility was taken over by Clear Channel Communications and the building became known as the Ford Pavilion at Montage Mountain. In June of 2005, upon their first visit to Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Toyota Pavilion, the Dave Matthews Band became the first concert to ever completely sell out the pavilion attracting over 18,000 people. On their return in July of 2006, they once again sold out the pavilion. In 2006, the entertainment group splintered away from Clear Channel, becoming a new, independent, company, Live Nation, and the amphitheatre changed name again, this time to Toyota Pavilion on Montage Mountain. On February 15, 2007, the tent roof of the pavilion collapsed under the weight of snow and ice that had fallen from the Valentine's Day Blizzard of 2007. A new roof was completed in time for the summer 2007 concert season.

Parking is available on the Toyota Pavilion grounds and surrounding areas. General parking is included in the price of admission unless otherwise stated. Parking Lots open at 3:00pm for most shows and earlier for festival type events.

I, for one, will not be attending this year. The parking situation and getting off the mountain killed it for me both years I went. I don't want to do that again.

also, the Parking situation, and leaving after the show, should be a problem if you get out fairly early. just start the walk during the last song, and you'll be golden.

I'll be here...got a single ticket in section 101 Row R...only place I'll go to alone...always score good single seats...in 05-Section 103, Row R and 06-Section 102 Row J...hopefully its a great show again this year...Montage is always loud as hell

101 Row M, moved from 103 Row M in 06, which was good. Anything in the single letters of the 100s is very nice there. I am glad they are easing up with tailgating, I've been there when they have been real strict a few years ago, even for the 21+ crowd, which I've been for several years :). 05/06 for DMB was no problems.

Parking is a crap shoot, I've been going to montage since they started having shows before the pavillion, sometimes I'm down the mountain in 10 minutes, sometimes it takes 1:30 to get out of the lot.

Since I can't seem to find lawn tickets to Hartford, I'm reconsidering hitting up this show. I guess the parking situation won't be TOO bad.

Parking isn't bad enough to discourage you from going. As long as you leave before the band leaves the stage, you're golden.

In '06, we somehow got stuck in a bad parking lot. Where we parked was just a wide open field. After the sun went down, they turned off all of the flood lights in the lot so everything was complete darkness (aside from scattered headlights from cars). It took us an hour just to find the flipping car. Once we were in the car, the traffic out of the lot was at a stand still for over an hour. We were stuck in the car with a group of tripping hippies skipping around in circles outside of a tent they erected. One of the hippies (a bearded guy) kept skipping over to our car and would loudly drum on our windshield with his hands. We yelled at the guy, but he was too high to even hear us. We finally got back to our smelly hotel in Scranton at 2:30 in the morning.

The combo of the parking lot drama with the short show plus atrocious encore left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm nervous, but I might just give it another shot (like I gave Hartford another shot last year).

Exiting this place is always a random experience, plan for the worst.

Outside of the encore, I'd take the 2006 show anytime.

I just moved to Binghamton to start my new job, and I'm considering hitting up this show. I don't want to take time off work if I don't have to. Do you think I'll have an easy enough time getting back to Binghamton and getting some sleep before the next morning? Or should I plan on taking a day off?

Leave after the first encore song just to be safe, then from the base of the mountain to exit 4s in Binghamton it's 45 minutes. So yeah, no prob, bob.

So actually received my WH tickets yesterday.....picked em up at the FedEx location. As I'm next in line, the lady sees that I have a door tag, and she looks at me and goes...."So, picking up Dave Matthews tickets?" I let out a laugh and just say....'yep', and she goes...."yeah, you and the rest of Pennsylvania".

I noticed my tickets are WAY the hell off to the side.....seats 34 and 35 in Row W. Should I try to upgrade myself via the WH boards, then sell these to a friend?

I just bought my ticket today! Right now the plan is to leave work at 6 (Binghamton). How do you guys think traffic will be before the show? I have my ticket in hand, so I don't need to wait at the box office. That shouldn't be cutting it too close, right?

Traffic, as always, will be awful. Once you get to the Montage exit (182A, I think)....plan on sitting in traffic up the mountain for about an hour. Chances are, you'll get to your seat anywhere from 8:15-8:30. I'd try to get out an hour early just in case.
