Its July and there isn't even a thread for this one yet. I've never been to a show here before. What's it like? All I know is its going to be HOT!

Anyone going?

Any guesses for when instant seat locations will be announced? I sold my TM tickets with the hope that my instants will be better than section 202.

Great venue. I lived in Phoenix for a while and saw 5 shows at Cricket. The funnest show I experienced there was DMB's '04 show. I was front and center lawn. I'd prefer that spot over some of the seats inside.

The worst part is waiting in the heat to get into the venue. But parking is awesome there. It doesn't take that long at all to get out. Enjoy!

it's a pretty nice venue. similar to coors in chula vista. the pit is folding chairs if memory serves. the lines to get in take forever though and the security can be a bit annoying.

I only went there once (2002) and the one thing I remember was the sound was shitty. But I'm still going. :)

Where are all the good tickets to this show? I haven't seen anything on the boards in the 100s, and my instants (2nd Phx request as far as I can tell) were in 204 OO.

Does anyone have any extras in the 100's?

jonkoch

can't help with extras. there typically aren't many on the boards and such because it's a show with a very low number of warehouse requests compared to LA, chula, etc. if you don't get tickets from the initial request period, it's typically hard to find them later

Does anyone know how the visibility is from sections 101 and 105? I looked at LiveNation's website where they show you the view from your seat, and it looks like you can't see the full stage from these sections. Of course, this is where I've found some seats.

they arent horrible. i sat in row c of section 101 once. but your vision of either boyd or jeff, depending on what side you are will get limited. the further you are back in the section is ok, just close kinda doesnt work out.

Thanks Kevin. I went ahead and bought these - they are in row J and I figured I wasn't going to find anything better this late.

What's the area around the venue like - are there restaurants close enough by to park and walk over? I'm taking my sister to her first show, and I'm not sure if we should go early and tailgate or find some restaurants or what. She's lived in Phoenix 10 years and has never been to Cricket.

there are a few restaurants on 83rd ave i believe, by wal-mart. tailgating is ok in phx. :) brings lots of water, it will be HOT

Yea, I would assume this since its on a Saturday, and probably Utah so they get a bit of a break.

Coster - do you have the same username on the WH board? If so I just posted in your thread over there.

In the one looking for a carpool. I told you I could drive you from San Diego to Phoenix, but I'm staying in Phoenix for a while so I couldn't get you back to LA. I'm driving over (hopefully early) Saturday morning by myself - leaving from north county SD.

Yeah that's me. Thanks for the offer but I think it's too hard at this point to piece together 3 separate rides. Plus you're up in north county which is far from the venue is it not? Not that I have a hotel room yet. Yeah I'm always late on this stuff if you haven't noticed. :hi

Yea that would be tough to get all the rides organized - plus if you spend any time at all in Phoenix you need a car, its worse than LA in that sense.

Is anyone else going to Macayo's before the show?
