The ending from RR95 gives me chills. LT5 is great, but I gave the nod to RR.

I believe you've said this before, Rob, and I stand right with you. It doesn't matter what show, when Nancies is played, it's a highlight. This is a tough poll. If I HAD to pick one, I guess I'd pick Red Rocks 95. It's the version that introduced me to a live version of the song. I LOVE the outro on that version.

no love for the Some Devil Bonus Disc? The intro is great:

Well, well, well
If it isn't another
Shiny, glorious, sunny... day

And all the happy people
Walking, walking in their doors
Through their doors, revolving
Up their elevators, down the shaft
Off they go
Makin' it, makin' it, oh it's a good life
And then, whoopee
We're all gonna die in the end
And they celebrate
And they look at me like I'm a dog
Cause I'm sittin' by a dumpster
Not doin' a damn thing

All I'm doin' is growing a beard
I've been workin' on it for about a year now
And it's a little stinky, but
That's because it's my beard

Sure, once I... was under the impression
That I... was gonna make an effort
So that I might become somebody that
Someone might become impressed by
Then I found my certain someone
And she was oh, so fine
But in my infinite wisdom
I managed to screw that up too

So now here I am, and I wonder why
I wonder why, I wonder...
It's not easy being green
There's so many colors I'd rather be
It's not easy bein' me

Hello, how are you? Yea, good day to you too
If I sing a song, will you give me a quarter?
Thank you so much, I don't even need to sing
God bless you, have a wonderful day, walk safely
I'll just sink back here to my dumpster
Oh, chicken. In a garbage can. I'll eat it, it's
delicious
Still warm, still warm, still warm
It's not easy bein' green
There's so many color's I'd rather be

thanks for these...and i totally agree with Huff on why Nancies from L@RR is the best. it was the first live version for me, too, and it has been and will probably continue to be my favorite. no weird, messed up intro that dave has been doing in the last couple/few years, they just get right down to business. and boyd indeed tears it up at the end. so much energy, such perfection.

CP is the tightest Nancies I've ever heard with a great intro and a great Boyd Solo. Yea, I mean, RR95 is good..but I sometimes think that show gets too much credit because it was the first release.

OK, I'll be the first to admit it. I did not sit down and listen to all these friggin versions before voting! I knew off the top of my head that the CP version was good, so I picked it. :dunno You may very well be right about RR. I have not listened to that for a while...

Putting aside acoustic performances, the only right answer to this is either Red Rocks or LT5. As solid as 8/27/00 is, it doesnt even hold up to the other two. Gorge, Fenway, and CP are laughable given the choices, maybe thats just me.

It really is almost a toss up between RR and LT5, Bill. But I dont know, I think Boyd's solo builds better at RR

RR'95

I also just wanted to point out how solid the Recently version is. It's what the UTTAD version should have been (even though it is just D+T), I hate how the song starts and how Dave sounds on the studio version.
