Welcome, everyone. Thank you for being a part of our community and we hope you like the look and features of our new forum.

TDC.org would like to ask you to consider making a small donation toward the maintenance and the betterment of our site.

As of right now, we have paid for the domain name itself and the first two months hosting on a VPS server to get us up and running. We are trying to shoot for $2,000 to set us up with a dedicated server which will handle any amount of traffic we get.

Here's the breakdown of where any donations will go;

• $80 for the yearly lease of vBulletin software

• $193/mo for a dedicated server; We are hoping to get a deal on that by purchasing a year in advance

The goal deadline of $2,000 in 2 months (Jan. 17th) is a tough goal, but we think with the group of people we've got here, we can manage it.

There is no obligation here. Please don't feel like you have to donate to contribute to our community. Securing our goal will ensure the board runs well for the next year. Any help given is very appreciated.

Paypal donations can be sent to brandon@thesedayscontinue.org - or by clicking to "donate" button at the top of the navigation toolbar.

Thank you all for your consideration and Happy Holidays.

-Brandon and the TDC.org staff

------------------------------------

[Update - Nov. 24th]

So we've been open one week and everything is going great. Thanks to everyone posting and contributing to every forum.

So far we have collected $624. For only being open one week, and it being so close to the Holidays, we just want to thank everyone who has donated. Whether it be little or a lot, each and every donation means a great deal to us. We are just over 25% of our $2,000 goal.
-----------------------------

[Update - Dec. 21st]

After a slow month due to the holidays we've collected a little over $100 since our last update. We are still very appreciative of all the donations, even in these last few days when money starts to become tight for many people.

As of right now, we're up to $730. We're still trying to shoot for a $2,000 goal by sometime in Jan.

Again, thank you for donating. And thank you to those who plan to donate. You know who you are. :hi
--------------------

[Update - Jan. 14th]

We're sorta crawling now towards our initial goal of $2,000 with a total of $913. We're a bit shy of half our goal.

Don't forget people, 30, 20, 15, 10, or even $5...anything and everything helps.

Again, thanks to everyone who has donated, big or little, and thank you to those who will donate.
--------------------

[Update - Feb. 1st]

So it's Feb. 1st and right now we're sitting steady at $1,272. First, I'd like to thank everyone who has donated, big and small. Your donations have been very helpful and we appreciate it.

However, we are still paying server fees month-by-month which means even if we get a couple hundred more, it will be gone shortly there after when we have to pay for the next month's fee, which was one of the main reasons we were hoping to collect the total by mid Jan, so we could purchase an entire years worth on a dedicated. Each month that goes by we spend what was accumilated over the past 2/3 weeks in donations.

We would like to get this squared away ASAP so that a) we don't have to keep paying monthly fees that keep depleting our donation account and b) so we can have a dedicated server with no memory hiccups, or drag time, especially when the tour is slowly creeping up on us.

Also, don't forget that if you want to be included in the next giveaway/raffle, you must donate a minimum of $10.

http://www.thesedayscontinue.org/showthread.php?t=194720

Again, thanks to those who have donated and those who will donate. We appreciate it.
--------------------------------

[Update - Feb 28th]

With some slick wheelin' and dealin' we were able to secure a dedicated server with the amount of money we've collected so far.

We would like to continue to keep the collection door open so that when the time comes we won't have to push as hard for next year's donation goal to renew the server.

We'd like to thank everyone who has donated to this site and to all of you who still plan on donating and all you who will continue to donate.

Don't forget we've still got a really huge raffle/giveaway set up for late April/early May.

Scott(sarge) is setting up a March Madness pool to also help keep the donation spirit alive, even after we go dedicated. It should be up soon. Once it's set up, we'll let everyone know. Should be fun.

[March Madness Pool] - http://www.thesedayscontinue.org/showthread.php?t=195192

Again, thanks to everyone who has contributed through donations and be sure to thank Cristina for her outstanding effort in all this.

Hey everyone! Let's get some donations flowing here. I looked at the situation TDC faces, and if they can obtain their goal (2,000), they can pay for a year in advance, saving 20% of the cost should they have have to continue paying monthly.

On top of this; they also get an excellent server with this option and, with tour time around the corner, we all know how important a reliable server can be. Let's get some cash flowing here.

Well the way it is setup you don't even have to have an account setup through paypal. It actually is safer this way because while I am sure we can trust Brandon, he is not getting any account information. He just gets the money you donate.

Again, thanks to everyone who has contributed through donations and be sure to thank Cristina for her outstanding effort in all this.

Brandon, how do you feel about pushing the community into the wide a little more so that you can open the door for more donations?
