I'm sure news will trickle here from ufck or vice versa. Seems kind of lame.

Until Dec 1 both are open so yes, I guess for now it is.

I'm talking more about the nDMB section. Just an example, I read on ufck that Bo Schembechler died, then 40 minutes later the same thread is posted here.

Well then I guess that's up to the posters if they want to give info both places, there first or here first or whatever. ;)

you have to expect that yeah, major news stories are going to be on both boards, especially since most people here probably still visit/post there.

I hope that the ndmbc side of this board keeps up and is a decently busy place.

if we can keep this to being a discussion of music, tv, movies, politics, sports, current events and other topics of actual interest, and not be a board for peoples stupid personal shit, it will be a better board for it. ufck can keep peoples stupid personal shit.

i mean for those of us who are on the older end of the curve, its embaressing to be posting on a board where high school kids are posting about their bodily functions. if anything, it would be nice if this board skewed older, which i think was the intent of refrencing dmbml, and for those younger that do post here and have alot to contribute, if they could leave their personal shit on ufck... thats all im hoping for. im here to talk about my favorite band, and other interests that my friends dont care about i.e. television, film, music, etc., not to discuss personal lives.

We're bound to carry things over from ufck for a while. We'll be able to separate things once we settle in and people are able to STOP seeing it as ufck 2.0. :)

I think many of us (I'm not counting me and my 300 post count, by the way) were the "other guys" at ufck anyway. I know there's a ton of successful title/DMBc crossposters, but I felt like we were our own board already. This is just the obvious step, and I already love it.

good point. This really has a lot of potential to be a place for discussion among those in the former and present DMBc.

You'll probably carve out your own personality when people start registering here that aren't registered on ufck.

Registrations are closed so that won't happen.

Yes, we ported the database over as it was there.

I think it'll be different because far less people will be posting here.
I can't imagine why the strictly nDMBc people from UFCK would bother to come over here ever.

I personally think it's cool to have the nDMBc stuff over here. Since I started at ufck in DMBc, I always felt like a lot of my comments in Title were percieved as "just someone from DMBc fucking up the board." I still post over there, but now don't have to worry about that over there, or over here. I think that's cool.
