without a doubt.

this song is always a highlight. it never fails to impress.

real shame it has been on the decline in terms of frequency of performances in the past two years.

the entire band is so dynamic in this song.

I was just thinking this last night. I was listening to it and it sounded so fresh and I'm kind of glad the band has held it back over the past couple of years.

I remember back in '00 when they used to close with it that people hated it. :lol

Always a great tune to catch live. :upyours

I am never disappointed to hear this song. Never really appreciated it until I heard it live.

It's a good song, but not one of my favorites. It was a great opener at MSG in '02 though.

i appreciate it, but don't really care for it. it was good to open in '02 at MSG but aside from that i'm fine without hearing it in concert.

Great fucking song.

Rhyme And Reason is more underappreciated, though, IMO.

WOTR N4 is awesome as is LT2 version. I can't decide which I like more, though, the improvised lyrics on WOTR or the belting on LT2. They're both awesome though.

Good song, but I don't think it's underappreciated. In my eyes, some of the songs that get ripped on, like Digging a Ditch, When the World Ends, and Out of My Hands, are the ones that go underappreciated.

Love Drive in Drive out, and would/have never gotten tired of it.

:upyours Totally agree. I started listening to DIDO more recently when I discovered it was a great work-out song. But overall I'd rather hear Rhyme & Reason, and wish it would come back into frequent circulation.

I agree with the thread starter :nod

I would love for the band to make some more tunes that have this kind of drive feel to the music with complex time signatures.

Love when it ended shows. The last piece is one of their better arrangements.

YSI of any of these versions you're talking about?

Oh, and 12/21/02 is sweet

I agree. DIDO is def. underrated. Carter's work in it is spectacular. The song has so many cool riffs too. I especially like the WOTR version. The lyrics that Dave improv's are among the best I've heard on a DIDO.

2000 was a great year for DIDO. Reminds me of my first Gorge trip that year.

I don't think Minarets gets enough attention, but when it does get attention its generally good attention. My God I love that song.

In terms of getting hated on, American Baby (the jam saves), but mostly Diggin a Ditch

I agree the song is very under appreciated. It was THE single song that got me hooked on this band so long ago.

The studio version + Red Rocks '95 were all I needed to hook myself.

really? you like the Red Rocks version? I think it's the 17th best song on the release.

it's a solid tune, and i think i've always enjoyed the treatment the band gives the song. I think I'd like Rhyme and Reason a lot more if it was played with the same frequency designated for DIDO
