Forgive me if this is old news.

Always one of music's biggest draws, Dave Matthews Band has filled stadiums everywhere. Now the multi-platinum group brings their amazing live reputation to one of the small venues where it all started. From Roseland Ballroom in New York City, DMB performs songs from their just released greatest hits entitled, The Best of What's Around, Volume 1.

Footage from Dave Matthews Band's Stand Up release party, which took place in May of 2005 at Roseland Ballroom in NYC, is being featured on Directv's FreeView Channel 101. Control Room Presents: Dave Matthews Band will air today at 6:00 p.m. EST and a couple of times daily through December 21, 2006.

It actually aired yesterday too. It was playing when I set TIVO to record it later today. It's definitely from the AOL webcast and I don't see mention of it being available in HD so I'm not sure it would end up being any better than what's already out.

God, I remember sitting in my parent's office with my girlfriend (now fiancee'), trying to dig this live over a dial-up connection and my parents bitching that they wanted to use the computer. Good times.

I don't have directv, but it is compressed a lot less than the web version.

i saw this little broadcast today and it was stellar. crystal friggen clear and great sound. are we comparing webcast to direct TV. lol
