I was just listening to this and thinking that Recently should be used to close shows more often. I know they did it at Arrow in 98, but I don't think it has closed a show since then. We got it e1 at the meadows in 03, which was nice, but then they stayed our asses.

Anyway, here's a mediafire of the wav. I'm thinking roi needs to bring his flute to the jam, if a flute would ever melt your face, it may be this recently.

this is like a legitimate 4 minute flute solo. And then he comes back in over the Pretty Girl outro. Great stuff.

This is badass dude. Thanks for the d/l. I love the dude with the cold that sniffs into the mics the whole song too :lol

I disagree with whoever said DIDO is DMB's most underappreciated song the other day.

My vote goes to Recently.

Ants Marching is the Dave Matthews Band

Also, isn't the flute on this being played by Harold Todd, not Roi?

recently and ants are always the songs that = dmb to me.I had somehow managed to avoid Recently since watching it during the Jazzfest webcast. Every single show I watched/listened to since then didn't have Recently. Today I listened to it for the first time since then, and it honestly blew me away. I had never really been a big fan of it. I respected it, but would never wish for it. But after that long of a break, it was amazing.

Man, what a fabulous solo. Roi is the fucking man.

He plays like 3 different instruments in this version. Fucker.

I don't think so. Dave doesn't mention any guests and neither does the almanac. I'm pretty certain it is roi.

hmm, alright. Harold Todd plays sax for lenny kravitz, so, that makes sense it might be him. I mean, it seems weird roi would do that just the once. Odd, the almanac definitely has it listed as a Roi solo though.
