I really love that new DivX site.

Great performance, great video. I'm a sucker for screen shot video.

I'm hoping we get a nice multi-cam DVD of this show. What a fun weekend.

It's almost like he's using it as a 2nd crash now...........he hits that thing on almost every other few beats.

it was good to see the china addition. ive had a china on my left side for years.
i hope to see more left handed skipping off the china in the future.

Carter's right side china will always be an old standby, it's not going anywhere.

Aparker507

I just wonder what will be added next year. I thought he couldnt add any more cymbals, but I'm sure he'll find some place for a new one next year

agreed. 2 chinas 2 kick drum pedals...you get the point.

I can see the mini china getting phased out. He used it a lot less in '06 than he did in '05.

^^If it does get passed, I wonder if the aux. hats will come back? Funny how he just adds something for 1 or 2 tours. I guess we wont have to worry about live ODH's until we see the Compact Conga come back

I've seen Shotgun, a composite of Rhyme and Reason from N1 and the Carter pissed video, but nothing else from C'Ville.

i am very interested on how shotgun will appear on the album...if it appears and if it doesnt its a damn shame...anyway, something close to the c-ville version would be nice...build it up at the end, go ape shit type thing. the song needs the lenght to make the point. i hope it doesnt get stripped down. batson...ease off of this tune and let it ride.

Speaking of something being used less and less.......how about the crash of doom? Only seen him use it twice since he's had it. 10" snare as well??? It sounds like he used it a couple times on the Fenway DDTW though..........

I'm getting a 14x6.5 Pearl Free FLoater for Christmas, and I'm letting go of my mapex black panther aluminum snare, and i got rid of a mapex maple snare as well. I'll have the signature snare the day it comes out lol. i wonder what material this snare is made of?

i play the 12x7 clear all maple BP. i am a huge fan of maple snares. ill check the stats on the old dunnetts. might offer some clues.

I'm thinking it may be titanium............I've always been a fan of metal snares. I'll be adding the Maple Shell to this Pearl snare I'm getting though, I'm getting the Brass first though. Sounds like an awesome snare you have! Black Panthers are awesome

Sweet video, hadn't seen that before. My gf hadn't heard this song before and she said it was her favorite performance of the night. I remember a lot of the crowd being in awe after it was played.

yamahas website has him playing roy haynes sig copper 14x5.5
titanium sounds right. i stopped looking at dunnetts as an option. they sound amazing but damn they are spendy. yeah i love the BP. i am sucker for the 'deep dish' sound.

as a side snare...i dont think i recall him playing the 10 as a main.

Aparker507
11-27-2006, 10:06 PM
yeah he's never used it as a main, but i've just never seen him hit it at all since he's had it. in dallas this year, henry was up about 20 min. before dmb came on stage messin with the 10" snare, and carter never used it the whole night

ever done any tech/rodie work? its alot of work and i did it with a much much smaller outfit...and i hated the drummers style...that didnt help. its alot of damn work tho. ah shotgun...thats what this was all about...

Aparker507
11-27-2006, 10:16 PM
I haven't done any tech work, but usually when I play places, I usually take my whole kit, which is pretty much the size of carter's. I don't have all the stands that carter has. Everythings on a rack like his, but I dont have near as many stands. It takes me about 45 minutes to get everything setup, so yeah I can see where doing that night after night would get old. Still get to tour and hang out with the most amazing drummer ever! yeah.............Shotgun................I LOVE this song and I love how far it has come
