I don't know what it is about this performace of Halloween, be it the effects that Tim adds to it, Dave screaming "Carter Beauford on the drums!", Carter being Carter Beauford on the drums, or the pure and unfettered emotion that got poured into this version, but damn. The emotion is there, from the first snare hit to the last chord, the last scream. BTCS' Halloween pales in its face.

Here's to Recently's Halloween and never being able to get another performance like that ever again.

Gimme the Tabernacle over the Recently EP any day of the week. That being said, I still think that the Recently EP is the second best to date.

EP is still my favorite halloween to blast when i'm pissed and just wanna scream... but the 1.30.1993 version is quite intense right before the Carter break... Dave uses some effects on the vocal mic.... GREAT early version!

when i first heard it i thought it was tim too so no worries cause it does kinda sound like his playing. i could be wrong but i remeber reading a couple years ago that somone said that they mixed in those "edgy" effects, cause comparing to the tape verison dave guitar doesnt have that grunge/distortion effect. can anyone back me up on this?

I stand corrected. I always thought that in the credits, though, Tim was credited with the arrangements.
