Yes, I understand. 7/9's was musically superior to any other that summer and was special for obvious reasons.

Id certainly chop that down to 41 through Rapunzel. WYA and OoMH don't seem to fit in a special run. It's a great one though. I think most people will choose that one.

Yeah...well, I'm a fan of OOMH (this version sounds great on CWOTR), and I enjoy mid-set WYA quite a bit (this one has a sweet intro too).

I would beg to differ on that...whereas 7/9 is special because it was the 1st in 13 years, that does not mean it is musically superior. It has been a little while since I heard that version, but if my memory serves me right, they actually messed up going into or during the "bridge." Not just because I was there, though it helps, I would definately say the DMB was dead on on 7/13 and Roi was a lot better that night....entirely, not just #34.

Please, I'm not going to argue and say that hunger is a "good" song, throwing it in that run to allow Crush to enter still makes it noteworthy. It keeps the energy going and is less than 5 minutes.

Had they stuck to the setlist, the run would still be tops (even better, musically probably). But regardless of the quality of that version, it is Halloween, out of nowhere, midset, brought on my crowd chants. It was really one of those all-time amazing DMB moments.

I know the 2005 setlists were pretty weak in general, but I had such a great time at every 2005 show I went to. The energy coming from the stage was infectious. Dare I say that the 2005 shows I saw were more "fun" than some 2006 shows with rarities in the setlists?

No.
I wanted to die walking back to my car after Hershey 05. I wanted my money back. The only show I saw in 06 was at Scranton, and even though that show was probably worse setlist-wise and def. encore wise than most of the shows in 06, it was oodles better than that abortion I witnessed in 05.

As bad as it was, I would still have to rank it higher than Hartford '03, either show. It really was that bad.
