this album reminds me, among other things, of winter. when it leaked there was a ton of snow everywhere in my town and i drove around with two of my friends listening to the leaked version of the album (in that alternate track listing) and it just reminds me of winter.

dmbontv.com doesn't have anything for dmb-everyday.com

anyone have those saved? (yeah it's a long shot)

I still have three of the audio rips from those clips that I'd be willing to upload. Any interest?

I think I have the videos as well, but I'm having to get Real working on this box to make sure.

i'm more interested in the video but i'd definitely take a listen to the audio if you have the time :)

Okay, I'm uploading them now.

Anyone know of a replacement program for playing Real videos? RealPlayer won't work on XP64.

Thanks, I'd never seen these. I wonder if Carter truly believed these were Dave's greatest songs, or if that was just for the promo? :)

first time i listened to the leaked album was waiting in my car before a ben harper show in providence... that was a good night as we were first row in that small club lupo's seeing both jack johnson and ben harper.

and starting the disc off with So Right i thought was a really cool thing to do...

He definately didn't think that

"we got charts for this one"
"how does that make you feel"
'long awkward pause'
"umm professional"

:lol :upyours

Carter certainly isn't going to win any public relations awards.

Even at the time the story behind Everyday was pretty transparent.

'Stand Up' maybe not so much.

the worst part of the videos is the last one where they all say "this album is phat!!"

I am very curious to see what eventually comes out regarding the SU sessions. I don't buy the lines they've fed us.

Well, I'm somewhat trying to believe that that kind of backstory isn't the case but it's hard to not think it.

Not to re-open the discussion for the 1200th time, but the optimistic side of me thinks that the band sees Batson as a franchise producer and that Stand Up is just a selection of songs from their first sessions that would make some kind of coherent statement as an album. But SU is so wildly all over the place that I just don't know about that.

You're more than welcome.

And I just noticed - at least in my RealAlternative program - that the 'I Did It' video seems to be corrupted starting around the halfway point. The copy on my hard drive plays like that, so there's not much I can do. Maybe it plays correctly in RealPlayer.

i'm suprised at how much footage there was of the 12 string in all those clips considering it was only used for one song on the album (if i remember correctly)... it's like they were purposefully trying to make the viewer think that the songs were still going to be similar to all the 12 string songs that were played in the summer of '00

It only played half of I Did It in my RealPlayer, too. I figured it was my download, but maybe its the rm file.

Ah, that's too bad. These files are just grabs that someone took from the original streams on the dmb-everyday.com site. I think I just downloaded them for archiving (who would ever want to see them again?) but probably never watched them all the way through since I had already seen the originals.

Does anybody happen to remember this track order? I seem to remember liking it better (probably because it's what I heard first).

I believe the 12-string was recorded on 2 songs on the album: Angel and Everyday.

Anyone have any of the everyday tunes from 4/21 that they can YSI? I haven't listened to any of them since a few days after the show. I remember them being really bad, just can't remember how bad.
