ok... i guess i'm more in the camp of not trashing something before it even happens but to each his own - especially when you have no idea of what will transpire - either at the shows or with a live release...

this is fucking great news. my favorite band in my favorite venue in my hometown. doesn't get better than that.

as for those saying "money, money, money", no one is forcing you to go. no one is forcing you to buy the inevitable live trax either. quit fucking bitching. don't go, don't buy it.

EDIT: sorry to be a prick...but the endless bitching is so tiresome. people are railing on a show that hasn't happened yet! fenway was pretty above average IMO. obviously, not the best show of the summer, but i think the uniqueness of the venue made it a quality (and obvious) release. Everyone bitched about LT6...look how good LT7 is. I just get tired of it. DMB play their asses off every time I've seen them (exactly 30), depite their peculiar stubbornness about some songs. I'm going to have a good time. If the music doesn't make you happy anymore, move on.

He has a bit of a point though. The stadium shows are rarely more than average setlists (logistics of the size of the crowd lead to that really...it's a given that more radio fans will be there). Yeah, there will undoubtedly be cool moments, but I wouldn't go in expecting the be-all end-all shows as past history has stood against that.

Whats really here to complain about? I'll definitly take Wrigley over Tinley...

-NiCK

for SURE. i swore off Tinley after this year, and i just sold my car anyway. this will be perfect. Alpine = no renting a car cause we'll use my g/f's parents' car after taking the train to their place up near Wisconsin, and Wrigley is right down the street. :upyours

1 of each?

nah, if anything i'd just go to both nights at alpine. alpine is 100% certain.

whether i'll want to go to wrigley or not isn't. but i got like 6 months to decide lol.

anywhere from 23-27 dollars

Eh, admission is only $8. The All-Access VIP pass is $27 which gets you in to everything. If you're on a budget, there's plenty to see for the $8 price that will take you 2 hours to see everything, which is a lot of time especially if you're planning on going to the Field Museum and/or the Art Institute as well.

:lol is that right?

well, i'll have to ask the woman, but i wouldn't mind having people over beforehand at our place. we've got room for about 10-15 people to lounge and drink it up - and park - and then just take the bus down the street to Wrigley.

it seems like a lot of friends of mine near cleveland area really love the idea of moving to chicago, a lot already have and more are on the way. so theres a good chance i might make it to the show.

i havent been to chicago since i got to see carlton fisk play for the whitesox, so it'd be nice to check out wrigley for a game along with seeing the show too
