even for late members, i still feel its worth it not having to deal with ticketmaster on saturday morning. and the random n2s can be very lucky sometimes.

yeah, customer service isn't the best, and our packages come late. but i never gripe about my $35 fee

if anything, the change in policy for those two and three night stands is a huge benefit for any year member... i agree.

ahh, a waste that I waited until the 7th to join. I had to get my mom to let me use her cc. Which, at the time, she was very hesitant to do over the internet. Amazing what a difference 8 years makes.

No I got that ticket from a ufck member. I got denied by the WH for that show.

That was one of the best if not the best seat I had ever had for a show. It was great chatting w/ Chris Jones and you the entire night, that was one of the best shows I had been to.

I just know that people that didn't get in early don't get that great of seats and actually do better on Ticketmaster for the most part. A "waste" is a strong word, I just know people haven't been happy with the lack of benefits from the fan club...cue Ten Club comparisons.

I'm still a member. The Warehouse has never personally fucked me over besides forgetting to mail me a few things and I had to call, but no big deal.

I joined in 2003 in response to the Dave and Tim tour and it's at least nice that I can reasonably expect decent mid to upper pavilion seats for each show. I've even lucked out a couple times in N2's and gotten to sit a lot closer. We do a lot of complaining about the warehouse and sure they're not the best run fan organization but the perks keep me renewing.

with the 2 night stands its certainly possible. the thing about the warehouse is that you are pretty much guaranteed to get tickets. they may not be great, but youll get em. dont have to hassle with ticketmaster. and i bet the #s have declined a ton in the last couple of years.

They can send me the 2006 cd in 2034 for all I fucking care. After the disgraceful posts about "we got too much music this year for me to buy LT7," No one deserves the 06 package until 2034 whether they were the ones that said it or not.

yeah it was in the "Why aren't you buying LT7" thread. They said Warehouse 8's, Bonus Discs, Live Trax 5, Live Trax 6, and Greatest Hits was too much in one year for them to buy Live Trax 7. It was truly one of the most appalling moments in message board history.

bsan83
12-04-2006, 03:11 PM
Oh yeah that Greatest Hits that supposedly no one was going to buy either. So they've released an awful lot that supposedly no one was going to buy in the first place, so it shouldn't be a problem.

not only that, but Bonus Discs were mentioned which are free with preorder. So it wasn't just about money, it was about too much music.

I was 15th in line at 9 AM on a cold October 1998 morning at the Blue Ash Thriftway. That was good enough for Section 210, Row P (third row from the ceiling) for the Crown 11/21/98 show.

But what's funny, is that I can remember what show I was listening to in the car on the drive up there. I had just gotten 8/30/98 and we listened to a rare (then) Pretty Pretty Girl outro on Recently and (what I thought was) a long Say Goodbye. I was hyped. Now in the days where I have downloaded 5 shows already today (really), I would never remember a detail like that.

yes and no.

yes, the crowd is better, because everyone around is hardcore nuts and won't spend the concert on the cell phone and only pay attention during crash.

no, because they know all the words to all the songs and sing like Marge Simpson in your ear, and argue about what's coming up next based on Dave's guitar and Boyd's foot pedal.

after 10 years of going to shows we've been waiting for the crowd to get older and chill out a bit more. if anything it seems more frantic than ever. but we're still addicted and still going and it's awesome.

a.) if Boyd has a foot pedal, it's either Watchtower or Everyday, made more clear by which bass Stefan has out.

b.) fuck the smoking ban, there should be no singing at concerts. No clapping either. Everyone should sit in their seats, no standing. Definitely no hot 18 year old girls.

what you figure, if i joined today...

preorder singles within first 30 rows 1 out of 10 shows? and doubles within first 30 rows 1 out of 20 shows? i have zero experience with the warehouse nor have talked to anyone about this. anyone have a reasonable idea?

hope this made sense, always been kicking myself in the butt not joining first year. even though with no cred on the subject i would (and might) join because i'm kinda bored with the lawn and lower pav the last few years.

Yeah, my last experience waiting in line for tickets for a show was at a Kroger in October 1998, (for the 11.21.98 Crown show). I couldn't believe how, despite the fact I was like 4th in line, my tickets were still shitty. Warehouse rocks.

I still kick myself for not joining in December, but my 2/99 membership still does me pretty well. I had incredible seats for the 1999 tour (3rd row center and 10th row center a few times), but since then they haven't been great, but still much better than what they would be without the Warehouse!!!
