I fucking hate that program, though it's nice not to see Krauser back for his 12th year. :downyours

I was expecting G'Town to really come out and dominate. Green just hasn't taken "the leap" like I thought he would this year.

I agree this thread needs to pick up now that it is almost Feb. A few PAC-10 upsets last night...

The Dook vs. Klempson game was a joke. Did anyone catch how the refs cheated at the end of the game and screwed up. Here is the video....Also Dooks 3 best players recieved a total of 0 fouls called against them.

I don't know what to predict from Oregon anymore. They get raped by unranked Washington, but have a really strong late-game surge against fairly good Wa. St.

Ride it while I can, I guess.

Well Oregon was without Aaron Brooks so while I am a Washington fan there is a small asterisk next to the game for me.

Washington is unranked but they have the talent of a ranked team. Unfortunately they are young and young teams struggle on the road. They also have 2 overtime losses and a 1 point loss in pac-10 play so with a little luck they could have a better record. They Huskies are tough at home always so I wouldn't worry too much about that loss. This is coming from someone who hates the Duck's with a passion too...

Ugly, ugly game.

Went to the UNC @ State game on Saturday. It was my 7th UNC game this year and I saw 2 (Gonzaga and State) of there 3 losses.:sad UNC also lost both times they were on ABC this year(Va Tech and State) and also lost all three games when Steve Lavin did the games. Terrible game. NC didnt click the way they did in there last few games. May have over looked State. Most teams when a team only misses 4 shots in the whole 2nd half get blown out., I was suprised UNC kept it as close as they did with States hot shooting. Tyler H is an asshole and a baby, he better suck it up and stop looking for foul calls everytime he is in the paint and takes a shot. He also better stop forcing shots after something doesnt go his way. His T was uncalled for and cost UNC 5 points as State made both foul shots and then got the ball and came down and hit a three. Big momentum swing right there and a key 5 points.

ESPN: Duke on the bubble, real chance of ending up in the NIT

Having lost four straight, the Devils still have road games left at BC, Clemson and UNC. If they don't get any of those, they are 7-9 (at best) in ACC play. What happens if they then fall in the ACC quarters? Could the committee possibly leave out a 21-win Duke team? A lot would have to go wrong down the stretch, but this team is no longer an absolute lock to get in.

I think 7 or maybe 8 is more probable. For instance FSU and Georgia Tech are both on the bubble but play each other on wednesday. The loser will have a tough time recovering to make the tournament. I see the following teams getting in:
UNC
BC
Virginia
Duke
Virginia Tech
Clemson
Maryland

Depending on the finish of the regular season and ACC tournament, either FSU or Georgia Tech could make it. Probably not both though. Let's also not forget about how many times in the past a team on the bubble or even out of consideration has made a great run in the ACC tournament and played their way into the NCAA's. We'll have to see what happens, the next few weeks will certainly be exciting.

Good god, Oregon basketball is turning into Oregon football. Amazingly strong start, and then the entire team died. Football started the season 7-2, finished 7-6. Basketball started 18-1, currently 20-5. It's not too bad right now, but if some people (read: Aaron Brooks) don't pick it up, this could end badly.

Duke could go 0 for their last 10 and still have enough quality ooc wins to get in. They're more of a lock than Clemson even.

G'Tech needs to stop fucking winning, along with these upsets by other bubble teams (Louisville at Pitt, Texas Tech at A&M, etc.). They're killing me.

Terrible loss by UVA. UNC is now in control to win the ACC as they have a 1 game lead over Va Tech and UVA and hold the tie-breaker over UVA. Id feel better if Va Tech loses one more. Of course UNC has to keep winning and I feel they have the hardest schedule left. But UVA and VA Tech play each other so there is at least one loss for one of those teams.

UNC is down again to NC State 28-26 with like 7 minutes to go in the first half.

Just got back from the Carolina game. A real tough loss for the Heels. We started off the second half so well and it really felt like we were going pull away up 12 with seven minutes to go as the crowd was totally out of the game. At this point Carolina has to put the game away and this is what they haven't done all season. Once Maryland hit some 3's and got the crowd back into the game, you just knew it was going to a tough final few minutes. It also didn't help that Maryland went something like 8-8 in free throws in the last 2 minutes while we seemed to miss too often on important trips to the line. I really don't know what to think of this Carolina team heading into the postseason. We just play so inconsistently during the course of games.

ACC tourney should be intersting - only potential first round upsets i see are NC State over Duke. I like VT's chances over GT even though the jackets have been hot lately. If JR snaps his slump and UVa gets some hot shooters, Virginia def. has a shot at a tired Duke squad with a likely home court advantage from an anti-duke crowd. Maryland is overrated - I don't care how hot you are going into the tourney, it won't last for long. I see a UNC-VT final with UNC finally getting the win over VT and clenching a #1 seed in the NCAA tourney. My dark horse final - FSU-NC State, yes, it could happen. FSU behind Thornton's hot hand whips Clemson and UNC and the home crowd helps them beat Maryland in the semis. NC State gets the upset bid over Duke with henderson suspended, beats Virginia with Atsur back in the rotation and at full strength leaving a NC State-VT rematch. Hokies try to prevent a 3rd loss to state after the two prior blowout losses but State hangs on to win.
