Tipper's Name: Dave Matthews
Restaurant: Continental Cuisine
Where it happened: Charlottesville, VA
Total bill / Tip amount / Percentage: $105.00 / $50.00 / 47%
What happened:
Dave, his wife and his twin daughters stopped by the restaurant I waiter at last spring. Very polite. Kids were well behaved. A great little family and a generous gratuity to boot.
Bitterwaitress' Comment:
brain drain, what part about "shitty tip" eludes you? then again, you are a Dave Matthews fan, i can't expect much.

Well what have they given us as a show of promise recently? A shitty string of albums, terrible album song decision ('04 :boohoo) and most recently a mailed in second half of the tour with shitty debuts and bad songs being played every show.

Huh?

If you're thrown off by the shitty debuts I mean Dreamgirl YMDT, etc. Not to mention the fact they scrapped most of the great stuff from June/July.

Tweeter in Chicago was probably the worst DMB show I've seen. As most shows in the second leg it started off so great and then took a nose dive into a mountain. I even left once Granny started in the encore because I knew Stay was coming next...only to come home and find out that Stay closed the show.

I wouldn't mind seeing Die Trying and American Baby in rotation next year. Nice, pleasant surprises in how enjoyable they were this year.

Of course, this is assuming they're taking the place of Smooth Rider, Dream Girl, AB Intro, and Hunger.
