I was just asked to come in for a job interview at a radio station. I work at another station in town, and I met the guy interviewing me earlier this fall at an event.

I just want to know what would be the appropriate thing to wear. I dont think I need to be too flashy, since it is usually a casual type workplace. So, just a nice shirt? Tie? Let me know what you think.

i interview a lot of people. always over dress. my suggestion would be a jacket and tie regardless of atmosphere.

:upyours I have done a lot of hiring in the past as well and this is a fact. Dress to impress. Sounds corny but it's true.

You want to be treated professional, you dress professional.

Yeah despite what kind of work environment it is, you should overdress

definately overdress. thats rule #1. when hired, downgrade to work casual.

One step above what the staff normally wear. Business casual - then business professional.

well that motto only works in that specific situation...you'll be hard-pressed to find a work place that condones sweats and sandals to which you could up it to business casual..and that certainly wouldnt work if they were already business professional...you'd be in a damn tuxedo.
