ROTHBURY FESTIVAL

I haven't made an official show thread since my COMERiCA one on DMBML in 01, and this being the first show I am officially going to as of now in 2008, I figured I would get a thread going for people planning on being there and plans and what not. Plus, this festival is just going to be silly good. The band roster alone is just fantastic.

Anyway, lets keep this thread going until the big July weekend. I fully expect to be having a beer with each and every one of you guys. :upyours

Yeah, I've got a lot to figure out. I've never been to a festival in my entire life nor have I ever been camping so I'm green in those areas. By the way has anyone ever gone camping and flown to the campsite? What's the best way to work that as far as equipment goes?

i have no idea how that works as far as luggage and equipment. i'd call the airport/airliner and see what their policies are

Never really paid attention to festivals before. Do they normally announce schedules for when bands are set to play and if so how far in advance do they do this?

Found somewhat of an answer to my earlier question. Thought some of you might want to know so I'll post it here:

Q: Who's playing when?

A: The schedule hasn't been released yet and probably won't be announced fully until a month or two before the event. But according to various band Web sites, we have a clue to some of the big names: Widespread Panic plays Friday night along with Primus, Dave Matthews hits the stage on Saturday night, and John Mayer performs Sunday.

Sarah is still probably going to schedule you saturday. Every volunteer will work four times during the week (once a day) just hopefully not during your favorite bands.

Ya DMB's schedule set is 9 to 11:30

iclips doesnt have them confirmed yet, so thats why it's still tba.

when i talked to the iclips guy last night. He said Panic wasnt confirmed until after the webcast started. Which is i think when they got there. So you may not know untill DMB acutally gets to the Double JJ Ranch. and agrees to be webcast
