We need to get a group together before the Saturday show to watch all the college football games at a bar. At least that's what I want to do. I think Oregon State plays Penn State and fucla plays Tennessee that day. I know it's GA but that place looks so small I don't really care where I sit and wasting time in line is just that, a waste. I've seen these guys up close enough times.

No, the entire venue will be General Admission. There is a small floor, stone risers/steps and a small lawn area. Fans will be able to sit on the stone risers. It will be first come first serve at door time.

Well orginally from Brooklyn but have been living in NJ for quite awhile. Such a great move. I live directly in San Francisco and the city is amazing. Won't be returning for a long time. I was lucky as I was relocated there for a good job so I have the financial security to be here. I'm 22 and there is no place I'd rather be in the US right now.

Red Rocks was basically GA in rows 20 and higher it seemed. The first two nights I was in Row 25 and Row 43, and that was basically GA. Nights 3 and 4 I was in Row 2 and nobody was getting in their without their own ticket. My friends were in row 12 and 17 on night 3 and said the same thing.

I can't remember how the tapes from those shows came out. Haven't listened to them since the WOTR release came out.

Btw, I think it's a good bet we're getting a live release from Greek Theater, compilation DVD, full weekend cd set through WH again.

possibly, but i don't think that's a guarantee. the last few years the best sounding tapes (IMO at least) have come from the soundboard area. that's what the RR tapes were. only downfall there was wind noise. the board is the ideal place for the greek as well (and i sure as hell am not going closer on the floor in standing room GA, that's fucking suicide).

What's the offical website for this place? I was looking for an address, I figured I'd book a hotel now and worry about tickets later. I thought I found it till I saw an LA address. Then realized there's a different Greek Theatre in downtown LA, unless I'm wrong and they're the same thing.

That sounds good. Looks like I will not have to rent a car.

I was in San Francisco last year, and we got all mixed up with Bart, and Muni. We bought a ride on one, and realized that we needed to take the other, and it was a clusterfuck to get it all worked out.

^ Good plan except I'd prefer knowing I have tickets before heading up to the Bay area.

I just looked on Ticketmaster, and it doesn't actually say on there that you have to show a student ID to get tickets through the pre-sale. You just need to show your credit card at the ticket window to get them (since they are all will-called). Anyone know how this works?

I called the Greek box office, and they insisted that the Cal presale tix WILL need a valid student ID. Tickmaster just game me the standard mumbo jumbo about will call.

From all that I've read about the presale, and venue, they will enforce the student ID policy. I wouldn't try it.

If you have a Visa Signature card they are having a sale of their own. Here is a link.

Yup, Ticketmaster is the only one selling them. Unless you want to go to a broker or wait for something on CL.

Wrong. Scalpers aren't looking to snatch up a ton of tickets when there are 24K total GA tickets. If this had been just one show, even perhaps only two, there would be way more tickets on StubHub.

Some are and some are not. Many that make a living selling tickets these days do not have their own store, nor an Event Inventory or Ticket Network website and rely on just listing in those databases (which most websites use; the site owner gets a cut from the sale of tickets not theirs but in the database) and StubHub and some others also use eBay. It's all about exposure.

I know its a weird request but i feel like these shows will top red rocks and i really want to make it somehow. If i end up getting a plane ticket that'll break me and i will have no money to stay anywhere really. PM me or shoot me an email if interested. Thanks.

yea, plus there realistically probably won't be enough people to fill it up back to the board for a decent while after people start lining up.

very true...the four of us going together have some sort of reserved section. I know my wife would like to have a nice spot to see the show from. I could care less since I will be walking around the whole time cranking butts with Crumbo:lmao

Wow, thanks for the offer. I'm not sure what time I'll be leaving though. I might hop on BART around 3 for each show maybe later. I'm not concerned where I stand at the venue, from what I've heard there's not a bad seat at the Greek.

Good luck with that. Might want to leave at the end of the last song of the main set to be on the safe side. I have never been to the venue but if it is like any other venue it will be a tought time getting in and out.

Yeah, I totally agree. That's what I'll have to do unfortunately, but its better than missing the whole show. The encore will be Bayou and Thank You anyway (I hope) :)

Do all the California shows start at 7 (well, except 9/7)? My Chula tickets say 7 and I'm sure it started at 8 last year. Its not even close to dark at 7.

Ah, ok, I thought that was DMB time. Thanks.

I wonder how cold Berkeley gets at night in September. I remember when they played SBC park a few years ago in SF, and it was freezing. I wasted all of Jimi Thing trying to buy a sweatshirt and each stand was sold out. Then the train broke down and it took 4 hours to get back to San Jose. Quite a show. :lol

3:30pm - Cal @ Wazzu (hometown team game)
5pm - Miami @ Florida

My thoughts exactly. Will they break it up into sections based on when you get there or is it a big free for all?
