:hi

Pine Knob has the lowest stage of any amphitheater on the schedule. A very intimate and underrated venue.

i will add more stuff later!

We should make a stealth mid-week trip out there this year.

this place really made a comeback as one of DMB's finest stops after that long absence from the Tour Dates.

Well I didn't request tickets at all this year because I thought I was going to be gone for the summer. However, my plans fell through and I will in fact be in MI for the whole summer.

So, if anyone has a decent single they need to get rid of, let me know, 'cause I'd love to go again this year. :upyours

The parking lot opens at 4:30 PM for most evening shows.
The parking lot will open 2 hours prior to the show start for all matinees.
Guests are allowed to tailgate/picnic before events.
Designated specific drop-off/pick-up area for guests in Parents Park between Main East and West gates.

is that actually enforced?? i know we tailgated and drank there in 06, didn't go last year, but can you still drink there?

you can still drink.. have it in plastic cups and don't be an idiot to attract attention. we did this last year. i think by law a lot of venues have to put that on there as a rule.

thats what i figured but i didn't want to bring it if it was zero tolerance. i know the tweeter center in chicago (or whatever the hell it's called) doesn't even allow tailgating and basically forces you to go in the venue. thanks for the help though.

Unless they've changed things drastically in the last year or so, that isn't the case at DTE. :upyours

Still looking for a decent single (or pair, if it's good enough for me to be able to unload the extra) if anyone's got anything... :hi

EDIT: Nevermind...I just called the box office and got 8th row, dead center, for $39.50! :wtf :wtf

Honestly, I have no idea. I told the girl that tickets to these shows are usually almost twice that price, but she insisted. So I asked again to make sure we were talking about the same show, then after she took my card info I asked her to send me an email confirmation so that I would have something in writing. I sat there in disbelief for a few minutes until I got the email, and sure enough, seats were exactly where she said and the price was under $40.

I called 45 minutes later to try to get a few more (hell, why not, at half price?), but it was a different woman and she said there were no more pavilion seats left. Which is even more strange, because the first woman listed off at least 3 singles in the first ten rows, and I think at least one pair. I've never seen singles sell that fast.

It was all pretty baffling, but I'm ecstatic...this is the best seat location I've ever had, and for the price of a lawn ticket. I lucked out for sure.

So, one spot on the DTE web site says the lots open at 4:30, one spot says 5:00... then I called and asked specifically for the DMB show, and she said, "Probably 3:30, because the doors open at 6:30."

I'm gonna try to get there around 3 to catch the soundcheck. I might need a back-up location to listen just in case the lots don't open until later.

Anyone else planning on catching the soundcheck?
