I recommend these websites for some good rates at various places...you can get some nicer rooms on the strip...for some pretty low money and sometimes they throw various drink and gaming offers.

Only place on the strip I will gamble is at the Hilton, because the video poker section is quiet, right next to the sports book.

Other than that, I love playing at the coast casino's - gold coast, suncoast and the Orleans. Downtown is a hole, but still fun.

I like the spacious feel that paris, the wynn, mandalay bay and new york new york have.

The El Cortez is a dump, Capital D. It has been around since the early 1900's. Yes, you read that right. I don't think it has ever been remodeled and I think it has the same carpeting from 1907 when it opened. El Cortez is downtown and it is Hooker Central!

Does any one know if there is any benefit to getting the hotel thru the Warehouse (via Instant Ticketing)?

The only benefit is that you get to pay more money for probably the same room.

I'm paying around 310 for 3 nights at the MGM with one of those promo codes they had in January. The WH is changing 360 for just 2 nights. If you look around you can probably find cheaper then the WH.

I agree with Yeedog - the WH rates aren't a deal. I'm paying $300 for 2 nights at the MGM, not a great deal but still better than the WH rate.

sneaksbeac
03-25-2009, 01:25 PM
There are obviously cheaper rates out there...one of the plus sides to it I can see is that you are paying for your room in full in advance. So you're not worry about it there or on a credit card later. Also you are supporting a system that if people don't support the Warehouse might stop doing it, but whatever I don't know if anyone would miss it.

There are much cheaper rates out there both on and off the strip

Not that much of a balla. I think the economy has brought down their requirements for full RFB(room, food, beverage). I was there 2 months ago on a 3 night comp. My average bet on the tables was about $150-200 a hand. I talked to my hot the night before I checked out and she took all the food and drinks that I charged to my room off. In exactly one week from now I will be getting my drink on in the VIP area. I will be holding my poster and checking out the gourmet buffet and chilling large. Damn I am excited.

Possibly... when I emailed the WH about VIP (since on the back of the pass it seems that alcohol isn't included) they said there might be beer, definitely not wine and spirits due to "local liquor laws".

I doubt its "local liquor law" and some sort of cost that is the reason wine and spirits aren't free. I imagine free beer is a lot cheaper than lil tiny plastic cups of booze and wine.

Oh I know, I totally agree. Lame excuse, especially in Vegas.

If anyone was able to get an extra poster to either night and would sell or trade I'd really appreciate it. I waited in line both nights, and watched people walk out with no less than 2 posters each. On top of that, during the 2nd day some douchebag was conspiring with a booth guy and selling the posters for 150 right at the venue entrance. I saw the guy working the booth bring him 8-10 posters just while I was standing there.

I'll pay more than face for it for your time and effort, but they are ridiculously high on ebay atm.

These shows were great I prefered N2 to N1 just in terms of the flow of the set lists but both were really solid.

VIP was a great investment, all you can eat and all you can drink beer really solid plus a bitching seat. The fact that they trucked in "Las Vegas Iced Tea" for 5 bucks in there too was good so they weren't killing ya if ya wanted a mixed drink, even though you looked like a fruit drinking it.

Poster situation was a joke, I am sorry but there is no need to sell them in public 4 hours before the doors open in an enviroment like that, I understand when its summer time and they do it in the lot but come on, people shouldn't have to wait in line before a show to get a poster, especially in a place like Vegas, it was vacation for most people and I know that I sure as shit don't want to be standing in line for a poster whilst on vacation...

just my 2 cents but I hope everyone had fun

N2 was really incredible, I probably enjoyed that as much as any show this decade! N1 was great too, but I think the performances of the same songs were better in Phoenix.

I don't care about posters, but that's ridiculous that people who weren't even attending the show could buy 2, and that they sold them all before the doors even opened. I was walking back from the MGM pool on Saturday and saw the line stretching down the hallway. This was at like 3pm. Who wants to waste their day in a line for a poster?

I heard DDTW and SMTS were cut. Not sure where DDTW was cut from, but I'd assume SMTS was supposed to be before ASTB.

6th, and it was fantastic. Hit a Royal Flush at the Sun Coast, My mom hit a Royal Flush at the Palms, trip paid for!

I won $500 on the slots. Pretty funny. Only put $5 in to kill time waiting for someone.

Had a fantastic time. I will go back anytime they play Vegas again.

N2 was better, but only slightly IMO. Jimi N1 got me down.

How great was The Maker?

Bastards. I lost money. :downyours

Great shows though. Haven't listened to Crumbo's tape yet but I was sitting right next to him for night 1. We were sitting 10th row floor that night but I enjoyed night 2's setlist much more.
