I'm most likely going to N2. Looks like a sweet venue. I know what you mean about it possibly being cool to sit up top, but I still really want A-H. Should be tough though.

It seems like it's going to be easier to get tickets to these shows than everyone thinks. Yeah it's small, but people are more interested in Spac and Bethel. Who knows what'll happen.

Maybe. Unfortunately I'm interested in those 3 shows too. Not worried about SPAC tickets at all, but I really want nice seats at Bethel.

Its not. The overall view is great, but view of the stage/sightlines are bad. The sound up there is TERRIBLE also.

I'm fucking SHOCKED that my 2003 account got me confirmed both nights.

Seems like alot of people are confirmed.. what year are you guys? I thought this show was going to be INSANELY hard to get confirmed for.I'd love to see a poll..

2006. But your join date has nothing to do with whether or not you got confirmed/denied.

Between here, Ants, and the WH boards, I haven't seen a single person who got declined for these shows.

I live in Jacksonville, FL now but I'm coming home for these 2 shows. I went to Jones Beach for the first time last year and it quickly became one of my favorite venues. The sound was fine from the back and the view was great. As long as it doesn't rain, it's amazing to see a show there.

Anyone like to share some more info on this venue? I know it's early but I'm excited for this one. I know strict no alcohol policy in the venue is tailgating alright? I heard acoustics can be kinda bad higher up is this true? How's the rest of the seating if that's the case?

Hmmm, my girlfriend will be in NYC for the summer for a law internship....is there public transportation to/from the venue?

Yup. From Manhattan, you'd have to take a train (Long Island RR) and a bus. Here's the website with last summer's info: http://www.mta.info/libus/jones_beach/jbcs.htm#LIRR

I believe tailgating is OK. Although, some shit went down last year at the OAR concert (tons of people -mostly underage- arrested), so they may be more strict this year.

Just booked a flight for these shows. To everyone that has stadium 1 seats behind the sound board: those offer a fantastic view and the sound in that area is great. I liked sitting in 9L way better than in the back of section A (I'm also 5'2"...). My only experiences with this venue are the Phish shows earlier this month. Getting to the venue sucked, as there was a ridiculous amount of traffic on pretty much any road in and around the city; however, if you are coming from the east then you are golden!

Got my tickets a few days ago on Live Nation:

N1: 7R Row A
N2: 7R Row B

Anyone close by? Security was real lax at the Phish shows, I hope this is the case at the DMB shows, as well.

I'll be coming from Central Jersey, hope the traffic isn't too bad this time!

Due to New York State regulations, we are not permitted to offer the sale of alcoholic beverages to the public while attending an event.

I don't see too many shows at this venue simply because the acoustics are rather poor. Didn't know that. Thanks for the update.

I'm surprised at the lack of activity in this thread. I guess overshadowed by Alpine. You'd think returning to a unique venue like this would spark more interest though. Makes me wonder what type of crowd will be out.

If it wasn't so close to Alpine it'd be a much better crowd. It's going to be a typical crowd made worse by the fact that it's on Strong Island
