Just trying to figure out whether to get GA or seats. GA seems like you would be alot closer.

I'll be there. I'm hoping they have a t-shirt like a lot of the minor league ballparks did last year. Iowa Cubs logo on a DMB shirt would be awesome (Keep in mind I'm a diehard Cubs fan).

You know, people line up at 6am to get a good GA spot.

I think I just decided to do GA anyway.

maybe in 1998, not nowadays. get there at 5pm and you'd be front 5-10 row distance.

last year i got there at 2pm and was about 10th in line to get in.

According to the Register today they are going to be setup in center field with enough room in the outfield for 8,000 and 10,000 in the stands.

I grew up in DSM but havent lived there in a long time. I go back often to see family though. Downtown is decent. The East Village is coming up and it is right by Principal Park. There are a couple of really good local bands that will hopefully be playing that weekend (The Nadas, The Envy Corps). As it gets closer I will give you more details.

I need to find a hotel near the Stadium/ or near some bars. I'm just coming down Friday, and heading back to MN saturday, and don't know much about Des Moines. Any help?

I'm thinking that Im just going to hang out at a bar or something until the show, and then go somewhere afterwards. Do they even have tailgating there at all?

I thought I had GA but just picked up my tickets and am in section 19 row 14. I took a look the Principal Park website and don't see section 19, but it is shown on Ticketmaster's website. I paid $65 for the tickets through TM thinking it was for the GA field and not reserved grandstand. Does anyone know if there is an actual section 19 or if that is general admission field? Thanks.

If anyone needs extra tickets to this show I have 3 extra GA field seats available. They are WH tickets so you can get in 30 minutes early. PM if interested. Face plus fees.
