Yep, it'll be the start of a 5 show summer for me....the most I've seen since Summer 2002 (5, also).

Summer 2002:
7/5 - Palm Beach
7/6 - Palm Beach
7/16 - Camden
7/17 - Camden
7/21 - Hershey

Summer 2009:
6/19 - Pittsburgh
6/20 - Pittsburgh
7/24 - Hershey
8/5 - Bethel
9/19 - Scranton

The Pittsburgh shows will be a nice little reprieve from the job for a few days. I'm pumped.

Hopefully this year (and this album) forces my hand and maybe I'll push it to 6, because reasonably, I can make it to Blossom, Syracuse, or Camden too.

The best place to stay is in Robinson which is 12 mins from Starlake. There is a mall there and shitloads of places to eat. Its not the ghetto like Stuebenville and The County Inn and Suites is nice and cheap.

This will be the first Starlake show I won't be attending since I started going to shows back in '96. Not by choice of course. I'd love to go but I'm on duty and can't get out of it. Really bummed after seeing some of the songs they just busted out. Hope you guys get a good one though. Starlake is one of the most consistent venues for getting solid sets.

You better leave before 4pm for the venue or you might get stuck in traffic.

Yeah, I've heard. I figure even if I do hit traffic, I'll still get there before THS goes on.

How bad is the traffic coming from the west? I've always had bad experiences getting off the highway coming from Pittsburgh, but this year I'm driving in from Columbus, kinda expecting an easier time of it.

coming from cleveland isn't bad at all - 2 hrs, little traffic. i'd assume columbus is the same. i generally get there around 430/5 though, so not sure how it is later than that.

very pumped for these shows...might try to get there a little earlier to catch the soundcheck.

might sound odd, but i want you to meet my husband. he's a huge cavs fan and i know you are too. he gets irritated with all the frat boys/high school kids we usually end up parked next to. you guys can drown your cavs sorrows in a few beers...hopefully halloween will make you both feel better. as long as its not raining, we'll be there about 5 in a black saturn ion with OH plates.

VIP or Premiere. Anywhere else will take awhile to get out.

If at all possible, do not park on behind the venue. If you get there super early, this is where they will park you.

If you're not in a hurry to leave, just fire up the grill and have a post show burger or hot dog. Then you don't have to wait when you want to leave. People usually hang out quite awhile after the show. They don't start rushing you out unless you're drinking again.

I think I sat next to you one year at this venue. Almost sure of it. Actually, i sat two people to your right. I think we were in the back of the pavillion.

Well, it's going to be tough because that lot is so freaking big. If you want, we can swap numbers and try to coordinate everything. What time are you leaving Friday? We're leaving at noon. Be there by 2, set up camp by 3:30, head to the venue at 4, rock so hard for 2:45 mins, then go see the hold steady.

Where exactly is the VIP lot? I have VIP parking for both shows and I think I remember one of the lanes being marked VIP when pulling ino the venue, but where is the actual lot compared the venue?

I think they may have parked us there last year without a VIP Pass. They were just getting cars out of the way. Or maybe not. Just curious...
