I don't necessarily mind the wait either. The thing I hate is people squeezing and pushing there way up front during the course of the show, interfering with the people who DID wait.

They should break up the field into gated sections and give out color-coded wristbands for each section. Once you've entered a section you can't move up to another one.

Just my 2 cents.

yea I'll throw up an ISO for a GA N2 ticket

would be cool to meet up here in the afternoon, Studio Square...the new'er beer garden in Astoria: http://nymag.com/listings/bar/studio-square/
http://www.studiosquarenyc.com/main.html

amazing selection of beer always on tap, food menu is pretty extensive too. close to the train (with 1 transfer) but a cab ride wouldn't be more than $15 to Citi I would think.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Great place for a beer, or 12. I'd be up for drinking there before the show on Saturday.

Any idea on the total number of GA tickets Citi releases for shows like these? Trying to get an idea of how many "rows" I'll be back if I don't give a shit about rushing to the front.

Was wondering this as well. My tickets came today, but there was no info included about being let in early. I assumed we'd get like a wristband or something. I guess the ticket alone will get us early entry?

im prolly gonna find some hotel in jersey. finding a place to stay in nyc is gonna be ridiculously expensive. id rather just drive 30 mins and find a cheap hotel in jersey.

Brand new hotel in my town (on LI). About 20 minutes from Citifield.

Other than McFaddens (a bar/restaurant on the same site as Citifield), there's really nowhere to eat or hang out in that area.

to be honest, i usually dont stay in hotels. the only 2 nighter i do is spac and i usually stay with family. with that said i never think to use priceline. i guess i could look up some prices and cancel my reservation if i find anything. thanks!

edit: ive never used the 'name your own price' method. how exactly does it work? you dont know what hotel youre at until you actually make a reservation?

You choose the number of stars you are looking for and the locations you are willing to accept and then name your price. But no you don't specifically know your hotel till after your "bid" is accepted.

If you check out www.biddingfortravel.com, alot of the hotels listed are ones that were 'name your own price' throw-aways so you'll know exactly what you get for those prices for certain picks. Kind of a clusterfuck of a site but if you've got some time and patience you can find some really awesome deals.

Used this (and similar sites with forums on who got what price where) many times to save a ton of money on mostly work travel.

Sometimes the internet is a great place.

LIRR = Long Island Railroad

Penn is about ten blocks south of Times Square. I can give you more detailed directions if you let me know where you're coming from
Eastbound: Departing Penn Station at: 3:49 PM, 4:25 PM, 4:46 PM, 5:14 PM, 5:29 PM, 5:50 PM, 5:56 PM, 6:14 PM, 6:42 PM, 7:14 PM, 7:49 PM

20 minute ride to Citi Field. 7:49 is the last train I'd take to make sure you get in on time.

$11 roundtrip on Friday. $9 roundtrip on Saturday. The subway may only be $4 roundtrip but it'll take you at least double the time on the subway and you can't drink on the subway. You can bring beer on the LIRR

And the LIRR trains are much more pimpin' than the subway cars. If you've never been to NYC, you'd feel nervous in the subway. I've gone into NYC at least once a month for the last two years, but I still watch my wallet when on the subway.

The red line is right by your hotel. Ask the front desk how to get to the 1,2,3 line. It's on 50th and 7th. I think you're between 48th and 49th. Take that down to 33rd Street/Penn Station/Madison Square Garden. Follow the signs for the LIRR

Usually just how they keep track of the number of tickets sold. Seating should all still be GA.
