Nice! This afternoon, I was able to pull Sections 400 (Night 1) & 800 (Night 2) thanks to Ticketmaster's American Express presell. My mindset was "I really don't care what seats they are just as long as they are in the Pavillion." :upyours Sat in the lawn my first concert (8/30/03). Was an absolute nightmare. Went with a girl that I knew from school. Her pocketbook (with $80 & her cellphone inside) were stolen. Kinda ruined any chance I had with her :rant Anyhoo, congrats on getting a seat in the Pit :upyours

I'm trying my chances on Ticketmaster singles tomorrow morning when they go on sale.

Good luck :upyours I'd suggest setting up a second Ticketmaster account & run it on a second computer (if you have access to one). That's been my plan for the past few years & it always seemed to work pretty well :upyours

So what's the general feeling for this tour opener? Start out slowly and sloppily with a few average shows before the tour gets started, or come out at the first stand energized with new ideas and inspirations? I'm hoping it's the latter.

I have training for work in New Orleans from 7/8-8/2, so I can't make any of the shows I was going to (scranton - with pit seats, bethel, 2 nights of citi field). Decided this morning to go to these shows, so I'm pretty excited. I'm hoping that this tour is less big whiskey heavy (3-5 instead of 9-11)

I'm hoping that show's will be tighter than previous tour openers. I mean, it's the first time opening in Hartford. :lmao Who am I kidding? DMB is probably just trying to get that hellhole out of the way :lol The only reason I keep going to those shows is the ~20 minute drive from my house :rawk

Ugh, well it looks like I'll be going here instead of SPAC. Hope they don't half ass this. The only other time I saw tour openers it was a mess ('07)

We need tour openers like '03 or '06 with bustouts or like '04 with good new songs.

I'd be stoked if they actually started the tour with something exciting this year, like old bustouts and a new song or two. I'd hate to see them lazily crawl out onto the stage, play a lame setlist, and call it a day.

I mean, if you're really stuck, there are a few places in West Hartford (about 20ish minutes from the venue) that are pretty cheap. I have no idea if it's already book but, the West Hartford Inn isn't that bad (my family stayed there right after we moved to West Hartford, the delivery trucks hadn't arrived yet. They got lost for a few days :rant ) Anyhoo, here's the website: www.westhartfordinn.com

If you're going from the show to the hotel, it's really easy to get there & it's on the way to 84 (I assume that's what you take to get home?). I know of a few more places in the area if that's already booked

If none of the links in the OP pan out for you, I suggest looking at the google search link I posted. It lists a bunch of hotels/motels in the Hartford/West Hartford/Farmington area. They all seem to be about 20ish minutes from the meadows. Hope that helps :upyours

If you still don't have a place, Wethersfield to the south on I-91 has a bunch of hotels, I doubt they would all be sold out. I'm assuming you would go by it anyways from Philly (assuming you would take 95 to 91).

I wouldn't go that far. For most of the day at the second show in 2008, it was MASSIVE thunderstorms. Tomorrow is a 30% chance of an isolated t-storm. And I hope it doesn't turn out like 2008.
