Venue Information:
Before its construction, the proposed arena was tentatively called "Spectrum II".[4] The arena was originally named for CoreStates Bank, which agreed to pay $40 million over 21 years for the naming rights, with additional terms to be settled later for an additional eight-year period at the end of the contract. The naming rights were assumed by First Union Bank in a merger in 1998 and then by Wachovia Bank in a 2003 merger with First Union. On July 1, 2010, the naming rights were officially switched to Wells Fargo, and the building became officially known as the Wells Fargo Center. On July 27, 2010, workers began removing the blue "Wachovia Center" letters from the building facade. Installation of the new "Wells Fargo Center" signs was completed in time for the next scheduled show on September 14, 2010.

That place has a cool design for having been built in the 90's.

just saw this over at ufck...

Philly DMBc

My neighbor works for electric factory concerts, he knows that i'm a big DMB fan and will fill me in with any rumors/info he's heard. He told me that Coran Capshaw and his people were in Philly last week checking out FDR Park for a possible future concert. He didn't say that it was for a DMB show. That's all he would say to me about the meeting.

could be interesting, the grounds are probably best fitted for a festival

Ah, that blows. I had a flat tire over the weekend, gonna run me $90, but luckily I can spare it. Broken down car is a different story.

Where are you coming from? You can take the orange line (Broad Street) from City Hall. That's what i am planning. I am coming in from the western suburbs. Or you can pick it up near South Street. Lots of bars east of broad.

I'm trying to figure out what I want to eat/drink while tailgating tomorrow. I plan on arriving around 4pm. Suggestions? Ribs and baked beans? Burgers and chips?

sdmc229
11-05-2010, 10:19 AM
No baked beans please. It is an indoor venue. You should go with something warm though. On the booze side, I like a nice Kraken & Coke.

Son of a bitch. I'm just now reading this. I'm sure I would have found a way to Philly had I read this thread.

That's an incredibly generous offer. :upyours
