View Full Version : Live Trax 04 - April 30, 1996 | Classic Amphitheater (Strawberry Hill), Henrico, VA

4.30.1996 Classic Amphitheatre, Richmond, VA was the show that started the Crash tour. In addition to hearing many new songs for the first time, fans in attendance were the first to hear the new sound system which DMB had recently inherited from the Grateful Dead. This sound system helped to take DMB’s live show experience to the next level. The Richmond show was also the show that marks the introduction of multi-track recording on tour.

Love the Richmond Jam. Also really like the Two Step for some reason. It's just so raw.

This Little Thing is amazing. Also, one of my favorite Jimi's

Yeah, Little Thing is the highlight for me here. Overall though this release never did much for me.

I understood the reason for its release but it's not a great release. Good PM though.

Top 5 released Say Goodbye for me, unique Little Thing, overall a ** 1/4 show, but I'm thankful to have it. Certainly less necessary with LT18 out, but I'll take what I can get from 96, it's good stuff and I liked their sound that year.

I also like the Jimi Thing from this show, but other than that and couple other tracks...meh.

This release has a raw feel to it, probably one of my least favs but definetly a great too much and jimi thing

Too Much was at its best in 96. See Cow Palace

Who's making those noises during Richmond jam and at the beginning of Too Much? Is it Fonz fiddling around with some looping effect? Kind of sounds like a keyboard
