Venue Information:
Jiffy Lube Live (formerly Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge or Nissan Pavilion) in Bristow, Virginia, is an outdoor live performance amphitheater in suburban Prince William County, about 35 miles west of Washington, DC. Owned and operated by Live Nation, the amphitheater can seat 25,000: 10,000 in reserved seats and 15,000 on the lawn, making it the largest music-oriented venue in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The amphitheater opened in June 1995, with a performance by The Village People.
On January 8, 2010, the name “Nissan Pavilion” was dropped in favor of “Jiffy Lube Live” reflecting a new franchise agreement between Live Nation, the owner of the venue and Jiffy Lube Washington Area Co-op Inc., (www.JiffyLubeDC.com), a group of 13 Jiffy Lube franchisees from Maryland and Virginia.
Since its opening, it has hosted a wide range of music artists in the summer season - including artists such as: Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Heart, Journey, Def Leppard, Poison, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, KISS, Aerosmith, Dave Matthews, Roger Waters, Yes, Dream Theater, Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rob Zombie, 311, Pearl Jam, Slipknot, and more. Since 1995, Jimmy Buffett has played annually. The last performance of LeRoi Moore, the late saxophonist of The Dave Matthews Band, took place here and was later released as Live Trax Vol. 14. The amphitheater also annually holds WMZQfest in May and Mayhem Festival, usually in August. Other festivals and events include The Vans Warped Tour, America's Most Wanted Tour, Crüe Fest, Crüe Fest 2, Ozzfest, The 311 Unity Tour, The Area2 Festival, The Uproar Festival, Farm Aid, IDENTITY Festival, Projekt Revolution and American Idol Live!.
In February 2011 the venue posted to its website that it would strictly enforce its existing no-tailgating rule for its parking lots before and after concerts in conjunction with the Prince William County Police Department. Organizers cited safety concerns as reasons for the ban, though they planned to continue to sell alcohol inside the venue. In January 2012 the venue posted that tailgating would be returning with a set of rules posted on their website. http://www2.insidenova.com/news/2012/jan/04/4/jiffy-lube-live-allow-tailgating-once-again-ar-1587689/
Some high schools in Prince William County and Fauquier County hold their graduation ceremonies there each June. Senator Barack Obama held a rally for his 2008 presidential campaign here on June 5, 2008.

I may go to this...Bristow is always a good time. 2009 show was great...although I remember the band getting a little choked up talking about Roi since it was the last venue that he palyed with them at. Also there was no poster for that show which was pretty weird.

Yeah, I'm definitely in for this one, cheap hotel through priceline and my first time at this venue.

I'm a nissan fan. It's huge but not in a bad way. Looks like a sea of people on the lawn, I wouldn't want to be back there though. I think it's better than montage on the inside.

I went in 02, then moved to LA. But I'm back on the east coast now, so I'll be going.

For those of you that have been to this venue recently, I'm looking at some potential scheduling conflicts on this, and I haven't done this in a really long time, so:

- What time should I arrive at the parking lot to ensure I see the opening band?
- What time should I arrive at the parking lot to ensure I see DMB's first song?

Thanks.

Well, the opening act is on just after 7 and the band takes the stage at ~820. Traffic isn't really that bad getting to the venue on a Saturday.

I seem to remember parking being really a problem, but that was ten years ago, and maybe my dad was just bitchy. Do you have to wait in your car in line on the way in for a really long time?

I guess it depends where you park. The parking area is pretty fucking big and spread out. If you're getting there late you'll be parking a good distance from the venue ina gravel lot most likely. I've never gotten there after 5 or so, and it has been fairly easy to get in to. I haven't been since '09 so not sure if it has changed.

Lawn tickets are still on sale on ticketmaster. Or you should have no problem finding a few fellow fans with extras in the parking lots.

I'll have an extra pit single for this show as well as the Virginia Beach show. However a caveat for Bristow is that I'll be arriving around 7pm.

Doesn't strike me as that strange, they probably only got so many.....LiveNation is gonna want to make bank on the additional fees, why let the WH have all the fun? That said, I'll be doing premiere parking at Bristow this year. Last year wasn't bad getting in/out, but the walk was brutal.

I'll just buy them on Friday when they go on sale to the public. I joined the WH on the first day... but that counts less and less these days.

For confirmations, yeah. It's ENTIRELY random save for the priority show checkbox. Seat selection on a few shows probably still matters.
