Tim's playing on these early acoustic shows is so perfectly complimentary. Listening to Seek Up now & he is fantastic. I feel like now he is more trying to 'wow.' these shows are awesome.

Also, for those who haven't listened. Dave refers to CS to both Tim & the crowd as BoOC.

For as little as I listen to Dave & Tim, I am enjoying this.

I get a nice vibe listening to this mellow and delicate acoustic performance of the dmb "classics". Dave definately has charisma and the small crowd seems to really be into the show :smoke:upyours

I like in these early D&T shows when you can hear Dave turn to Tim and ask him whether or not he knows the song.

:upyours this release is awesome. I'm glad they put this one out.

Did they have mic issues in the beginning? Or maybe it's just the venue?

That woman shouting "Shut up!" during the opening of Christmas Song was more annoying than the supposed noise.

People were talking. Dave mentions that people are talking during the songs but being dead quiet when they're not playing.

Man, I love You Are My Sanity.

As much as I like the evolution of the D&T sets and Tim's additions, this show has that Luther/Prism feel to it that I really fell in love with off the bat.

Alot of power and sound from just two acoustics and a voice.

I give Prism the edge over this but this is cool in it's own right.

Certainly agree. Prism, is to me, a very special show for one reason or another. This has the same feeling but, so far, doesn't have that same intangible quality. That said, as with Prism, I love the use of the 12-string, I wish Recently was always played on the 12.

Its been beaten to death, but I would really love some D&T releases from 96, 97, and even 99. Alot of unique moments that I would love a mixed and mastered release of.

2/21/97 is at the top of my wish list for release. Right up there with 12/3 and 12/7 from Fall '98.

Tim before Billies is real pissed about people talking.

"Should kick some of them out and have their asses kicked"

Wonder how he feels now, when it's a clusterfuck at many D&T shows.

Wasn't that part of the reason they didn't really tour much after 99?

That was the rumor. I think it was one of the Rolling Stone articles that has Dave talking about frustrated he was during most of those shows. And just listened to 6/13...meh. It's ok. Seek Up is kinda cool but nothing really stood out for me.

I find it strange Tim wasn't invited to play on the LWS. Maybe if he'd been there...

Added mad fills?

heh, yeah that would have certainly saved the sessions.

Getting through this now. Some flubs in this one, but it has a cool vibe.

This is mostly how I feel. The second set has a great Seek Up (maybe my favorite D&T song?) and nice versions of Granny & Help Myself.

It seems like their making up the setlist on the spot and the Davespeak & conversations with Tim make it an entertaining enough show. Overall...decent.

I love this show. It's not as good as Prism, but after listening to all the pre-96 shows to death it was really friggin awesome to finally get a brand new one we didn't have in any form

I obviously want '96, '97, and '99 most of all still- but I'd be extremely happy to see a 1994 show get released next. Preferably 08/25 due to us lacking a SBD. 1/29 (first show after Anne's death) and 2/21 are just so friggin good
