The 3.2.94 show from The Masquerade Nightclub in Tampa, FL (the historic Rivoli then Ritz Theatre, now the Ritz Ybor) is the band’s second night performance at the venue during their first trip to Florida. DMB received a great reception from the audience.

Highlights of the show include a classic Warehouse with supporting vocals from Carter and, as always, one-of-a-kind playing from LeRoi. Hard hitters from the show include Tripping Billies, Pay For What You Get and a solid rendition of Help Myself. Minarets features Carter and Dave’s scatting intro and ends with its typical feverish finish, segwaying into Typical Situation. What Would You Say is funky and tight and keeps the crowd hollering. Ants ends the show with a rousing finish. The 3.2.94 show has been digitally mastered and is available in its entirety.

the almanac has the venue as the The RITZ Ybor, but I'm still excited about these two unknown songs. Though, they will probably just end up being known songs.

I'm guessing the 2nd unknown is jimi, and I've got my money on unknown #1 being recently. #36 would be cool, though.

That's the venue's current name, and it looks like it changed in 2006. Just updated the entry. I'm pretty sure they are indeed known songs—we got the setlist from the Minarets archive, and whoever posted it just didn't know all of the songs' names. It's probably Jimi Thing and Best of What's Around or something.

This release is awesome. Listening to rets sitting on the water drinking a Founders Porter watching some lightening in the distance. Does not get much better than this.

Really enjoying this True Reflections.

Don't really like this song, but this is a great version. The song has a great groove/jam.

This is how WWYS should be played. All funky and such.

Good choice, but why no love for '97 or '98? Haven't gotten a release from that period for a while.

Yeah, that's disappointing. Thought we'd see these with greater frequency.

Listened to this one yesterday. Those early '94 shows are really nice to have. I love the crazy WWYS breakdown, Boyd's Satellite intro (seriously, why did that ever go away?) and that Ants intro is something I'd not heard before. This one completes my DMBLive collection (not that I have them all, but I have the ones I want now), and I'm honestly just thrilled with this series. Some seriously great , and seriously surprising, choices in there. Let's get a new one soon, huh?

A nice show, maybe my favorite 94 DMBLive? I haven't listened to the others I have for a long time. Lots of feedback issues in this one, more than any other show I've listened to.

Really your favorite 94?

I like 3/26, Blue Note, 10/14, and 11/26 more than this one.

I haven't listened to them in years, I have 3/26, 4/26, and 10/22 to revisit and compare soon.

To me, I do not believe any 1994 will ever surpass the Irving Plaza release for me. This belief does not take into consideration a 94' show someday release as a live trax. It's bound to happen and I'm surprised it hasn't already.

Yeah 3.26 is the best 1994 release we have.
