I am totally for any and all 95 shows, but I understand that sentiment. But... if you are going to continue to give us 95's, how about some more special shows? I mean, the previous night...

Geez another one already?

Yeah dmblive needs to move out of the '95 zone unless they're gonna give us a really good one.

I'll take all the '95 they want to give us :upyours

Yup. Agreed.

Uncirculated 95 is cool, though. I forgot this tour even happened.

Yea, I think we only have that one show we have the vid from, right?

Still... :rawk

I don't have a problem with it because there isn't a tape. But gotta agree with Jack if it had to be a show from this tour would have preferred the Paris show or maybe Amsterdam.

The vast majority of DMBlive releases are going to be two track releases. That's the strategy they've chosen. There might be a few later ones that were recorded with stripped down equipment (Benaroya or Boone) or if the multi-track tape has flaws and releasing the two track as DMBlive lets them branch out a bit, like the 1996s. There's not going to be a ton of diversity in this line without going backward in time, not forward. The work it takes to properly mix the tracks isn't worth it to them to do as DMBlive and the two tracks don't sound as nice.

I'll take it. Looks like a hot first 4 songs and im curious to hear the jam before watchtower

I'll take any and all 95 they give us, but yeah, lots of other years to picks.

samples are up. quality seems to be pretty subpar. crowd is extremely loud in comparison to the band.

Ya just listened. Fucking terrible quality, whoever's idea was it for this to be released should have their decision privileges revoked immediately.

Would have it been that hard to split Two Step and BOWA into two tracks? I mean if I wanted to I could do it in three-four minutes tops.

I think the recording itself could be a fun listen, but then, I enjoy a healthy dose of crowd noise. The problem is, it's laughable they would charge $14 for these mp3s.

No matter what it sounds like, this is the only way this show will ever get out and I approve of the increased rapidity of releases. I hope they keep it up. Keeping the two tracks as one sucks, though.

I'm all for continued dmblive releases for shows where no tape exists.

Yeah, it's great that this show is out there, but the poor quality certainly is not something worth paying for IMHO.

Jack
05-30-2013, 02:38 PM
The quality isn't that bad. Just sounds like bad matrix. I agree it's a question of 'why?', but it is a hot show as far as I can tell from one listen.

I was thinking the same thing, but it's a little too boomy. It's not just that it has a lot of crowd noise.

The board is probably worse. It's a small place and Carter & Roi are probably mixed way low, plus the crowd is part of the reason to release this show, which isn't picked up on a board. Even huge places in 96 sound like they are played in a vacuum. I have 0 problems with the sound of this release. I think they're all priced a little on the high side but I don't think this should be less than anything else because it's an audience. The tracking is just ridiculous, but I'm used to it at this point.

Mersh

Doesn't sound that bad. Certainly not as good as the last one and there is a lot of crowd, but not as terrible as some made it seem. I get not wanting to pay $14 for it, but I also think that $14 is too much for any of them.

JustinC

At an early stage in the bandís popularity in Europe, the crowd in attendance sings along to the songs in this first audience mic recording to be released.

So they are straight up that it is an aud but still charge $14

They charge the same for soundboards, audience records, shows already circulating, shows not circulating, shows that have 10 songs, shows that have 30 songs.

It's from their archives, that's the price across the board. Would you rather pay $14 for a good sounding audience of show that you will never get any other way? Or a sbd of 1/27/93 or 3/26/94? I'll take this all day long.

Once again, I think it's great that this show is now available, but I won't be paying for it. In fact, it will be the first DMBlive release I won't purchase. I simply won't pay for an AUD of this quality. I'm happy for those who will listen to and enjoy this release, though. It's just not for me.
