I'm beyond excited for this

Too bad it isn't one we don't have a tape for, but are we even sure they were taping every single show back then?

Can't wait to hear this one

The clips that were on the site (looks like it's been taken down now) sounded great!

They weren't even taping every show in 1994, or least they don't have a copy of every show from 1994.

I asked for a few specific setlists from December of 1994 and was told they didn't have those specific sets, let alone tapes.

Thanks for the confirmation. I figured as much, I really think we take for granted that every single show is taped now. I'm definitely not too shocked about them missing tapes up til '94 even either, I can think of some tours of big name acts that were the hottest ticket of the day that not a single multitrack/anything even releasable was recorded. It's ashame. I'm guessing around when DMB implemented the no-SBD policy was when they began taping at least a direct feed of the board for most shows? Thanks again for any info, interesting stuff

I'm honestly just happy to get any '92 release as I doubt they have an entire vault of them, which you pretty much just confirmed for me.

Listening to these old shows like this reminds me why "jam band" fans like myself fell in love with this band back then :rawk

out of curiosity, for you guys that were able to download, are you on a mac or windows machine?

edit: answered my own question. works on windows, not on mac.

I assume because there are no complaints that they changed the way they did the tracking on this?

works on windows, not on mac.

For those who will be trying to download this from the store on a Mac, I'm re-posting this from the last DMBlive thread. There are several tweaks necessary to be able to download on mac. The 2 things that got mine going were the "run in unsafe mode" setting explained below, as well as lowering down the security settings for Java in System Preferences (not in Safari, in your Mac's system preferences), which is not mentioned below. You don't need to do steps 1-6 if you already have Java installed, as most probably do.

Macintosh users:
**We apologize for the inconvenience but customers running OSX 8.5 & up or Safari 7 will need to complete the steps below to access the download content due to changes with thes updates:
1. After purchasing the download, click on the download link and a window will pop-up
2. This window may contain a message: Missing Plugin, indicating that you do not have Java installed. Mavericks does not come with Java installed. Java is required for our download manager
3. Click on the error message and a dialog box will appear
4. Click More Info to download Java
5. Once the file is downloaded, locate it and double click to install. Follow the installation instructions
6. Refresh the web page
7. Click the download link again
8. You will receive an error message indicating that Java is not enabled
9. Click to enable it, clicking accepting the "Trust Java for this website" dialog
10. If the download fails, you will need to change the Java settings for this website.
11. Go to Safari > Preferences > Security > Manage Website Settings > Java
12. Under Configured Websites, locate the store URL
13. In the drop-down menu next to the URL, select Run in Unsafe Mode
14. You will be prompted to accept this change, click Trust
15. Click Download again
16. You will see a dialog box indicating that there may be a problem with the application, accept it.
17. The download should work.

I'm downloading on windows.. didn't have to do anything different than before. However I chose FLAC and it's giving me the files with .mp3 extension even though the file sizes are clearly FLAC. The files didn't play so I changed the extension from .mp3 to .flac and everything is working. Oops..

Same thing happened to me. Thanks for the suggestion of changing the file name. Worked for me as well.

Gotta give props to the powers-that-be on this one. Fantastic show and it sounds great. I think this one sounds better than most of the other DMBlives. Just a great job on this one across the board :upyours

I haven't been listening to DMB much lately and I've thoroughly enjoyed this one. Gonna move on to LT30 now, but this is one I will definitely return to again and again.

You definitely should. I just recommend listening to it first, before LT30, because LT30 is better and of course sounds better.

I'll agree with that. Listening to this makes me so happy Peter left.

Yeah I've really been noticing Stefan a lot in these recent releases. I like the kinda "fat" sound of his bass playing back in the early days.

That being said I don't know how often I'll go back to this. It's strange, I used to really like listening to these early shows but the more time has passed the harder it's been for me to tolerate Peter and even Dave's early singing. Post-Peter '93 just has so much more appeal for me than these shows.

I do appreciate them releasing such early stuff though.

There is just such a glaring difference between a 92 show and a late 93 show (August - December) show. This is nice to have, but man does Peter bring the cheese.
