My 4th show! Nice! :rawk

They're firing on all cylinders with the releases right now. Personally, I like this one better than LT40!

Seriously, (outside of the Angel From cover) every one of those songs is now used in a power spot, right? A quick look and every one has either opened, closed or both.

man I hope they keep this shit coming next year! going to need a lot of "throwback" type stuff to get through the year off

Hopefully they do a "Summer Tour Flashback" or something similar to the "Warm Up" series.

Would be awesome to get 2 or 3 videos from some past summer tours each week through the summer!

Any of those November 96 shows would do. That's when I feel a lot of Crash tunes hit a new stride. Two Step's improv intros (and fiery vocals on the outro) started blossoming, LIOG was reliably solid, SMTS :segue ASTB :segue Too Much was now a thing, and #41 :segue Say Bye.

Although the 96 show I'd like the most would probably be 7/24.

Man, stupidly I never put it together, but you know, what a fucking moment for Dave Matthews here. Glad he took one for himself. Dude walks out onstage for the encore all by himself. Stands centerstage in the most famous arena in the most famous city on the face of the earth and plays All Along The Watchtower solo. The same song he used to play all by himself, for pocket change, in subways across Europe. This show obviously meant so much to him. He keeps mentioning times he was at msg. I just think, what a personal victory for him. Glad he commemorated it in the most well suited way possible. What a special show to have released :upyours

Great release. That said, night 2 has always been a fav of mine. I get the whole first MSG show ever idea but night 2 was so solid. The Popper performances alone were so hot.. as was that bridge with Doughty... "leeeroi"

Also, was one of these nights the footage they used for the Billies official video?

relived most of this show tonight and it's pretty awesome to hear how pumped the band was. I dont remember most of this show but it was this Typical that got me all hooked on this tune. Still a top 5 DMB tune for me. Eludes me live for years ... honestly i've been jones'in on LT 39 and LT 40 for the past few weeks/months and this DMBLive MSG show is definately top 5 DMBLive for us? (excluding the D&T and solo Dave sets).

Still haven't listened to this one yet either, but that a bold statement. If you throw out the D+T shows which to me make the series, perhaps. There are a ton of really solid '94 shows In here though...love the blue note show in particular, and the 2/25/95 show is killer also. I'm gonna listen to this one soon, if it's top 5 then it must be damn good.

Yeah, it really is. Finally actually listened to it, and while I'm not quite ready to say it's top five, it's definitely close. Top 10 right out of the box, and very possibly top five. I love how clearly awed Dave is to be there. And there are a couple of moments particularly his Jimi and Angel solos where Roi seems pushed to a new level also. Can't quite believe they just put this out with no fanfare or anything.

Yup. I remember this giving me goosebumps throughout the night. I was feeling it. I had seen them only 18 months earlier in a small theater in Florida and here we were at the Garden.

Can't quite believe they just put this out with no fanfare or anything.

Seriously. This show deserved more fanfare (and preferably the multitrack LT treatment, but obviously that wasn't an option). Nice to see it get some love on here now.
