That's a cool idea. But why only do 99-present?

so you're gonna get paid to do this?

bsan83 10-06-2009 06:07 AM

Why would you want to start in '99? :lol

Better quality shows. Some of those '98 shows are impossible to listen to. And yes, technically I'll be getting paid for it, it's mostly background music.

ThememanXX 10-06-2009 06:12 AM

Maybe I'll revisit '98 after I'm done, if I still like the band by then. :lol

bsan83 10-06-2009 06:23 AM

I can't imagine wanting to listen to more than like 1/3 of the shows from 05-07 now.

NiCK (Crush) 10-06-2009 06:25 AM

Yea, '05 is going to be one hell of a chore.

bsan83 10-06-2009 06:39 AM

As is the second half of 06 and first half of 07. Those 07 international shows are just so painfully dull.

UfckYourFace 10-06-2009 07:24 AM

You're about to spend 8 and a half hours of your life listening to "I Did It". Good luck to you, sir.

SonofSuns34 10-06-2009 08:02 AM

and 15 and a half listening to Angel...

Rowsdower 10-06-2009 08:05 AM

I love the Dave Matthews Band and have wasted tons of time and money on them, but I could never listen to THAT much DMB.

batleon 10-06-2009 08:20 AM

I've always wanted to do something like this, but the sheer enormity of it scared me off. Not to mention some stretches ('01, early '03, '05, late '06, early '07) are going to be torturous for you.

So, everybody else, over/under on how long he makes it? :lol

bsan83 10-06-2009 08:22 AM

Yeah, it's enough of a task for me to select a run of like 10 shows and get through that. That's a lot of listening to the same songs by the same band.

Yeah:

Apr/May 2001
June 2003 (Skree)
2005
Late 2006

will be some serious chores. We'll see. Like I said, I may never listen to them again after this.

bsan83 10-06-2009 08:27 AM

Bokon started in '99 to see how much of that tour he could get through, and a lot those early '99 shows are really blah.

ThememanXX 10-06-2009 08:35 AM

Yep, Roi sounds really good on the #41's and I love the Heartbeat Intros....but other than that, there's not much going on.

batleon 10-06-2009 08:47 AM

Skree alert for many shows in '99 as well. Wait 'til you get to the Gorge shows :lol

ThememanXX 10-06-2009 08:50 AM

Yep, that Gorge run was brutal. BRUTAL.

vtpettit 10-06-2009 09:10 AM

At three shows a day, how long will this take to finish?? Seems like you'll be really burned out on DMB by the end...
