whats the joke? is he just saying DMB is a joke? if so, clearly the pandemic has hit him hard and dried up all his inspiration. Or maybe since ive never heard of him, there was no talent to begin with.

He's calling them Dave's band. He's a comedian who used to be great on Twitter. Sucks now.

No. I want the remaining members of the original group - without Jeff, Ross, Buddy. Acoustic or semi-acoustic. Tim wasn't a member of the band originally but obviously has been there since the beginning. It would be a back to basics tour.

This.

I don't want Jeff, Ross, or Buddy. I can take or leave Tim as long as it's acoustic Tim and no electric. I would personally be interested in a trio tour with just Dave, Carter and Stefan. Make Dave be the only guitar in a live setting and lets see what happens. Yes, bass is a guitar but you know what I mean. There can still be D&T tours if your Tim and Dave fix.

Yeah I'm iffy on the Tim recommendation simply because of his being an overbearing crutch for Dave. If he would stick to being a D&T Tim with Carter and Stefan, you would have something special.

I also think it would be good for Dave as he would do significantly less harm to his voice in a more subtle setting. He's gained the chops to be able to be that guy now

I forgot which one of you is into attendance figures, but someone has created an Indiana Rock History database that has lots of interesting details. It was created by the promotion company that booked acts throughout the midwest. You can see what DMB earned at their Indiana shows through guaranteed fees ($1.3 million for a three-night stand at Deer Creek in 1999), percentage points, and attendance figures. About as inside a look as you can get into what the band--and other acts--were earning in the 90s. Not every show has details, and the site is slow, but if you're bored it's fun to see what these acts were making.

A "Back to basics" tour would end up being a letdown, and it wouldn't sound as good as this. I think we should just be lucky we have this, because a performance of this caliber doesn't come often these days from DMB.

That's fine, but I think we should probably accept that DMB is at the point where they are going to have those 1-3 outstanding killer shows per year, and that's it. Another reasons why I want them to just scale back their tour in half. 22-24 dates not this 40+ show stuff. I understand they still almost sell out all these venues still, but for us it hasn't been worth following a full tour in quite some time.

Itís dry humor. I agree he used to be funny before he got too political and fell into the sort of SJW type of comic. I welcome the roasting of him here.

I think I was .5 or .1.

I have my DMB sorted into playlists on Spotify. One playlist with everything they've got. Then a 1.0 (1991-2000), a 2.0 (2001-2007), and a 3.0 (2008-present). Makes for great DMB shuffling depending on what mood I'm in.
