That kind of makes me feel bad, but then again if he's that clueless I guess it's on him. I really want to know if he realizes he's being muted half the time? How could he not get wind of it, though?

So, after listening to Sweet's current incarnation so much, I went back to listen to the first version ever (which in 2011 I had listened to dozens of times), and I found myself totally caught off guard with how rough it was the first time around. Funny how since it was new at the time, it wasn't as easy to see that it was clearly a work in progress.

Also, that show in general was really strange, with the random one-off performances of Joyride and Louisiana Bayou, this Sweet debut, and a 40-minute 5-song encore.

That weekend was very strange in general. I remember thinking during N3 this was the best show I've ever seen and there is still quite a bit of time left. Then IOY started a complete nosedive.

The 4 covers on N3 was a bit much. But the main set was a blast IMO. I like IOY, and Buena was my favorite of the new covers that year. The opening run was fantastic. I remember after Captain thinking that it didnt matter what came next, i was happy.

I thought n3's set was fantastic and on the verge of being the best I'd ever seen. Bartender/Say Bye/BOWA/Captain/Shotgun/Warehouse/Seek Up is as good a run as DMB has performed in the last decade probably. The performances are stellar too. I think it's the best fullband version of Captain ever played live.

Gravedigger/Can't Stop/Watchtower was just such a weird and anticlimactic way to end the set (especially since I didn't think the versions of CS and Watchtower were very good). Sister pretty much ruins the vibe and excitement of any encore. Ants >Thank You was predictable but fine. Nothing overly wrong with the ending run of n3 but after such an incredible first 14 songs, it just seemed like a downer note to end. Halloween would have helped, as it did at all the other Caravans.

At any rate, n3 Lakeside was still one of the top shows I've ever been to.

That wasn't bad...but it's worse mixed in between those other songs. Raven or Halloween would have been a nice addition.

Question for all of you using DT.org - would you download torrents from DT on work computers? I had a virus scare many years ago on a personal PC, and it dissuaded me from wanting to use torrents at all anymore, but I'm wondering if these days it's commonplace for most of you to download shows on your work PCs without network security fears.

Thanks.

Also, does anyone know a trusted FLAC converter that won't install malware/viruses?

Are people still using Trader's Little Helper without issue?

as long as torrenting wouldn't draw attention to me at work as it can be a drain on the network for some places. plus, i'd only be torrenting legal stuff--like shows at dt.org--so they couldn't get me with "stealing music illegally."

honestly though, the torrents at dt.org are pretty safe and i've never given it a second thought.

trader's little helper works fine.

i use xACT made by scott brown.

one way is to check the info files to see what tapers are using to encode to flac and just get that for decoding too.

I wish that Dave, Carter, Boyd and Stefan would do a short tour by themselves.

Jazz Fest is 4/26-5/5 this year...so it makes sense.
