I'll never forget how loud the crowd was singing along to stay or leave that night. Goosebumps.

The aud is a little clearer, obviously, but the crowd just eats it up. A really special moment for me.

And the infamous Thank You that lasted about 45 minutes into the parking lot

the crowd singing along to Jimi was pretty bad ass, too.....they were loud and nailed it. Tim really brought it during the outro, as well. This two-nighter is a really perfect 'capture' of 2008 versions of songs.

2008 was the first time I missed Alpine in a long time. My son was born in June that year so it was a no go for me. I love listening to those two shows and stinks that I couldn't make it, but I'm not to disappointed because I had a real good reason.

Luckily though, I was able to drive to the Omaha show in July because I could drive back that same night, and that was a great show also.

8/13/08 in Oklahoma City is another smokin' setlist. Only real duds are Old Dirt Hill and Gravedigger. That start is outstanding, as well! Also, the first #41 I can remember in which Jeff just goes off. What a great version.

Spoiler:
Seek Up
Dancing Nancies
Warehouse
Burning Down the House
Corn Bread
Old Dirt Hill
Eh Hee
You Might Die Trying
Crash
So Damn Lucky
#41
Stay
Gravedigger
Anyone Seen the Bridge
Too Much [fake]
Halloween
Louisiana Bayou
Ants Marching
____________

Sledgehammer
Two Step

Moved on to 8/16/08 from Dallas, TX. PNP>Rapunzel opener is always a great way to kick off a show. Really wish they'd open with a heartbeat intro a few times a year, maybe Dave on piano and Tim on acoustic, before switching to the regular format to kick into the song. Maybe a thought for the upcoming tour?

I always wanted them to try opening a show with Rapunzel sans PNP. Just blast in and surprise us. Or start the encore that way or something

That's a cool thought too....perhaps this summer, close the acoustic set with:

Jimi Thing
What Will Become of Me
Pantala Naga Pampa

then kick off the electric set with Rapunzel?

Also, listening to this Dallas show, I love these mid-2008 versions of 'Water Into Wine'. Just an enjoyable little melody.

Others will, but I actually dont hate that idea if they can end shows with Jimi and Grey St then a PNP end into a Rapunzel encore is more than acceptable

Here's something else fun I picked up on....during the intro to 'Old Dirt Hill' in August, 2008 (maybe some in July, too)....Dave tells a different story each time about something from his childhood. Hey Gweeps, do you have time to compile all those? They're actually pretty cool.

Thanks for posting that, I honestly can't remember if I ever saw it or not.

If I had to pick one of the best moments of a DMB show I was at- 4/14/09 Why I Am debut would be right up there. When Dave dropped that line for the first time and the crowd went NUTS... truly amazing. I went to the VA shows a couple days after that, and some guy told us Roi's grave was like a block away from our hotel. It was pretty cool to see.

Does anyone have the picture from 1:49? It looks like it might be the band with Tim. I'd love to have a copy of that
