Couple quick listening notes (and Recently observations)
05/19/93: Redemption Song (3rd time played, 1st time heard), Dave tweaks his part in the Recently jam, different but cool 06/24/93: First time I've heard this jam on Recently, they cut it down to a half time groove. (edit: more Recently tweaks.... 07/06/93: Pretty Pretty Girl interp.) *after my ears perked up for Recently, I've become more bummed that this is now a "liberation"-worthy song.... ![]() Last edited by drummerkrf; 04-17-2013 at 02:31 PM. |

Seek Up makes an appearance on the 6/8/05 Germain Amphitheatre show......great intro from Roi. You know, the 2005 tour really captures DMB well....some really great tunes, if it wasn't for all that Stand Up nonsense.

A few gems on this one, #41, Grey Street, OSW, Seek Up, What Would You Say, Crush and Lover Lay Down....then Stand Up and Bayou with Robert Randolph to close the set and the debut of Stolen Away E1 and a Warehouse closer. I can deal with this show.

![]() I'm starting into Bonaroo 2005 now. I don't really remember how this show was, fingers crossed I don't fall asleep at my desk if Stolen Away or Smooth Rider comes on. |

Yeah, hearing Jimi Thing with Warren and Bayou with Randolph really makes me appreciate what Tim brings to the table. These songs, even with good guests, were stale.

I'm on 6/12/05, Deer Creek N1, now....I really enjoy the segue from Seek Up into You Might Die Trying. That'd be a nice 1-2 opener this year. Also, the Loving Wings from this show just seemed 'uninspired', like 'Roi just didn't give a shit.
That said, this What Would You Say is SPOT ON. It'd be nice to have this one on a bonus disc or something. |

Nice, i'm still a big fan of RR, not sure why so many people hate on him now. I love to listen to any of the songs with him on it.

There was a straight-up piano on #41 a few shows ago, I really liked that. Maybe the Pittsburgh show?

in saying that, the roseland show had one of the best warehouse versions ever, and butch had great additions to that track.

YMDT showing the first signs of change, Roi sounding like a horn section with Butch on DC N2. I like it. The Nancies > Warehouse from this show is also legit. Damn, and the RR Improv Jam into Watchtower in the encore is also great. Have I found my first 2005 show worth listening to?

Hmmm, no 6/15/05 tape, so that means I'm moving on to Hartford, 6/18/05. Hunger opener. That's just....great.
