Ah OK that makes sense. This was the first time in a while I could remember someone talking about a release months in advance, I wasn't at all surprised to see this because of it.

So does anybody know what's on tap for 44?

Between the previous Trax, this, and Live 25, we've gotten a lot of DMB 2.0 lately. I'm pleased. There was a long time there where we got very little.

I agree. Nice to get another GGT and Sugar Will though. I consider it a win in that regard. Should be a solid overall release at least.

This should be a good one. '04 DMB is very very enjoyable.

I understand the criticism that '04 sets are pretty uniform. The fact that they had 4 songs that were played almost every night limits the diversity a bit. That just means you have to pick a show with something unique to the tour, which this has:

Captain: played once in '04, still a relative rarity
Too Much reprise: done only once
Two Step: this sounds like a stretch but it was only played 5 times in '04 so likely any other show released from that year won't have it

Again, I'm on the fence personally about getting this one but can't question that the choice appears to be a good one, especially for those who want an '04 release. It's also been over a decade since they released an '04 show so I like to see them ending long streaks like that.

I've not heard this show...the set list isn't the type of 04 show I'd generally go for, but it is an 04 show so I'll give it a chance. Is this a good show other than a rare Captain and Too Much reprise? My eyes keep being drawn back to IDI.

I love '04, but definitely didn't see this show being released from it. It's got all the new songs from that year and Captain is intriguing. I'm into it. I love '04.

As I look again, Captain (even though I don't like post LWS versions when it became a let's fuck all night song) through the end of the main set looks like a nice listen.

Yeah if there's a knock on this set it's definitely the three Everyday songs, particularly IDI

Reserving judgement until I listen to a tape...

I remember listening to the Too Much reprise long ago. They literally just launch into the end jam.

This is kind of a weird pick for an '04 show... but getting more DMB 2.0 is fine with me.... I was hoping for 6.24.04.

I remember this Too Much. It was cool at the time.

First thoughts. I'm never gonna be upset about an 04 release. Will enjoy the new tunes + the overall sound of the band. Kinda meh about IDI, WTWE but they got play that summer. I think it'll be a solid listen overall.

Yeah a really early '04 show with rawer versions of the new songs would interest me more... or either of the '04 shows I attended of course.

I like this pick a lot. I've been itching for some 2004. Those '04 songs might have been played every night but Sugar Will, Crazy Easy, and GGT brought something different to the table each night. I've listened to this show a few times. Unfortunately the Hello Again isn't very good. Captain is really chill
