Also - where is the age adjusted data on the page you posted? To reflect the graph? 10-59?

I’m skimming your link (I am getting ready to run out for dinner)…can you tell me where the 10-59 dataset is? I’m actually asking, I may have missed it.

Age adjusted? I may be missing what you’re seeing. I believe you’re looking at ALL ages. That’s not what the graph is showing.

Yeah, you’re looking at all ages and you didn’t compare it to what the graph is actually showing.

Heh.

Dinner time.

What difference does it make?

No L here. Data is data and if you want to use age to fit a disgusting narrative that’s on you. Go to dinner, you’re certainly out to dinner.

I have no idea why you’re mad at me. You tried busting my balls outta nowhere quoting the wrong ONS dataset. I repeatedly tried to show you you’re not looking at the right page and dataset. Rather than be like “oops my bad,” you throw a fit.

I’m at least five beers deep, too.

For comparison, B117 had 2 mutations, Delta had 3, omicron has 32. It’s said to be 500% more transmissible, fuck.

Yeah. But how does it fare against the vaccines is the big question.

It appears to be a very mildly symptomatic variant, which, if it holds up, would of course be excellent news. Higher transmissibility + very mild symptoms = more widespread herd immunity. Hell, lost of taste and smell isn’t even happening. But time will tell.

Sounds like a hangover.

Sounds like a hangover.
If it’s not dangerous are you implying that the powers that be will just let it spread. I highly doubt that. One death is reason to lockdown.

“Moderna Inc. Chief Medical Officer Paul Burton said he suspects the new omicron coronavirus variant may elude current vaccines, and if so, a reformulated shot could be available early in the new year.”

There you go.

WHO is blaming the unvaccinated for variants

Nice scapegoat. There will always be unvaccinated people.

Wasn’t it originally found in four vaccinated people in Africa?

The unvaccinated scapegoating is really getting old. It’s such a dumb and disingenuous narrative that intentionally divides people with no scientific legitimacy. If people still believe the unvaxx’d are a problem there’s really no hope for their ability to think critically. Scratch that: there’s no hope for their ability to do common-sense, 7th grade fundamental levels of thinking.

WHO needs to starting blaming the lab in Wuhan and the NIH for funding gain-of-function research and pull back on blaming unvaccinated people in like subsaharan Africa for a virus their acquaintances created.
