2005 indeed was a crummy year, but there were some bright spots, and they generally played well.

They sounded amazing playing those horrible sets.

That's the frustrating thing. They could've sounded amazing playing amazing sets. The older songs sound fantastic, and although there's a mighty dropoff with most of the newer 2001-2005 songs, they still were a live force to be reckoned with.
I'm listening to some of 6/29/05 right now. They've killed this Hello Again and are slaying this #41. So obviously the quality of the songs matter, but they still sound great slogging through comparative drivel like American Baby.

The SU songs sound pretty terrible though, and often make up more than half the show.

Can't deny that the absence of LOUDERFASTER plays into my opinion.

I guess we probably won't get another Dave solo Live at Home show? A shame, considering he never got around to songs like Crash, Typical, Jimi and Dreaming Tree.

Always liked the rig for 2005 too. They completely ditched the screen.

Dave's voice was rough that year.

This was when Dave started screaming more, and they went for loudness to get cheering. Pretty sure Bayou was the main culprit behind this.

He'd never do DT solo.

Do we have a new album thread?
Rashawn posted orchestra musicians playing (masks on) with “we got orchestra stuff going on... y’all don’t know what’s coming at ya. #DMB #album #music

To assume they’re finishing one up. I just hop to god it doesn’t suck. I really can’t take another tour of bad material in sets.

And another post with Rashawn, Dave, Buddy, Stefan and two guys I don’t recognize. “Y’all just don’t know... shit’s getting real” #album
Great to see a bunch of them all together.

It’s still impossible for me to not get excited about a new DMB album. Bring it on.

If the album is bad, you could have sets where there’s like 5 good songs in it.
